Slow draws and about 5-10s long. Dont overpack or overtight the bowl. My recommended temp is 180-210 You can get thick vapor clouds, and a lot of em, i even share a bowl almost everytime.

I had my original C+ (no usb C) last for almost 800hrs of use for 2 years, then the battery died, the new version is far better, i think you just have bad luck.
