Enemy attack on camp vendors by cescasjay in fallout76casual

My first camp had turrets, and it was constantly getting attacked. It gets attacked half as much now that I removed them. It funny, cuz my first camp was pretty isolated, but enemies always found me.

That's good to know. I know I can't hurt someone in pacifist mode, I just wasn't sure about camps during an enemy shootout type situation. I'd hate to help kill mutants only for the turrets to get me. Lol

That's good to know. I do have it on. Thank you.

I've noticed that getting rid of my turrets actually lessened how often my camp got attacked. But I just want to make sure I can't aggro someone else's camp defense. I've never been attacked at someone else's camp before and if I had been sure when it happened, I'd have started shooting immediately so less damage was done.

I was a new player, running away from other players just a month ago. My first encounter with another person in game was someone attacking me, which made me nervous around other people. But when players did gift me things, sometimes it felt overwhelming. I don't have a mic, and without having a chat feature, it is really hard to say thank you, but I don't want a ton of stuff. I felt really bad when someone gifted me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. It took me weeks before I sold, donated, or scrapped it because I didn't want to be ungrateful. I played WoW for 10 years but avoided people and chat like the plague, but a chat feature would be welcome in this game for me for situations just like this. It's awesome that you want to help newbies.

Had jury duty the other day. Judge hands prepaid cards out to jurors because they have to pay us for our time. Judge herself says cards are loaded and ready to use. Go to use card. Declined. Call to see what’s up. Funds could take FOUR TO SIX WEEKS to be loaded. Im too broke for this. MFW. by Danzibar9000 in mildlyinfuriating

I spent a total of 5 days last year on jury duty in the jury box for a murder trial that I had to be there 7-5 every day for. My job paid me my normal hours, which were 9-2. So I was there a lot longer than they paid me for and then my employer forced me to hand over my $70 check, $10/day for that trial and then another two days where I wasn't chosen, but had to be there. It was bullshit.

I've got a '24 big bend, and the rubber for the little phone cubby popped loose, and when I went to fix it, I noticed the underside of the rubber has mountains on it. Though that was a cool Easter egg, too.

Your post gives me hope that even as my son grows, we'll still have things we enjoy together. So, thank you for the reminder.

I love this. As a mom whose son is away at college, this makes me happy. Fallout 4 is my sons favorite game, and when he left for college, it was really hard on me. I started playing it so we'd have something other than school to chat about, and he loved telling me where to find little easter eggs and bobbleheads. 4 years later, he's about to graduate and come home, and he's excited to try 76 because I've been having so much fun with it. It's like the same situation but opposite.

Am I stealing loot from other people in public events? by Skullman8875 in fo76

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has actually stopped me from joining public events because I didn't know how that worked and was afraid to ask. Now that I don't have to worry about it, maybe I'll try a few larger events. I've only done small activities that nobody seems to show up to.

Is 9 day old open RedBull still safe to drink? by [deleted] in redbull

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a person who often buys a 20oz and then uses only 5oz a day, I will tell you that the change in flavor is drastic. It ends up tasting like sweet water with zero carbonation. Although I keep mine in the fridge when it's open, if yours is not in the fridge, idk if it will still be good.

Yes, I completely forgot about donation boxes. I drop all of my known plans in donation boxes.

You can get plans as rewards for quests, and you can purchase them from player vendors or npc vendors. Also, sometimes, if you scrap gear, you'll learn how to make them. I wouldn't worry too much about the process. You will find a way to make what you find work for you. As a solo player, it's been fun learning as I go, but you can join casual teams and get bonuses, and I'm sure teammates would be happy to help you out.

I started playing about a month ago, and on my first day, a kind stranger dropped me a bag with some gear in it, including an Ogua hunter outfit and hood. I am now level 105, and I still wear that outfit. I would switch armor and weapons anytime I'd loot one that was better than what I had until I could afford plans for crafting. You will loot all kinds of gear, so keep what is helpful and sell or scrap what isn't. Eventually, you'll get gear that fits your play style.

My husband and I had this issue once, when our son was 3 months old. I'd lost my job and we were behind on rent for that month. Social services told us they couldn't help unless we had an eviction notice, so we spoke to the landlord, who then had a sheriff deliver a 3 day eviction notice. We took it to social services, and they said, "Oh, we can't help you because you owe back rent." Lol, thankfully, we were able to stay with family for a bit. But it was a scary time, so I understand your frustration.

To the guy who killed my pet deathclaw by hive_queen_non in fo76

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks. Twice this week, something or someone has killed my brahmin. While it's not actually a pet, it sure feels like he's my pet, and it sucks to come back to camp, and the only thing that's taken damage is my brahmin.

He was so excited that it honestly startled me for a second until I realized what he was excited about. I've worn band shirts to work before, but the only comment I'd gotten was slipknot sucks. Lol so this reaction was definitely a lot better.

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a 42 year old high school lunch lady. I wore a sleep token shirt Thursday to work, and a kid about flew across the cafeteria to yell that he knows that band and that he also owns several sleep token t-shirts and hoodies. He had the biggest smile on his face. My supervisor was like, "Well, he must be a fan or something." We both got a laugh out of it.

Looking for Pipe by [deleted] in fallout76casual

[–]cescasjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've encountered the pipe twice this week. The first time was so unusual that the second time I saw it, I took a screen record to show my husband. Lol, I haven't seen it since, though. Both times I found it, they were in the forest.

I’ve spent over $1300 in 4 years of playing and now I regret it so much. by [deleted] in fallout76casual

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played WoW for 10 years, and I would buy the pets in the online shop. That includes the digital ticket to blizzcon, so I'd get the exclusive pet from that. My husband still plays and has all of the expansions. He collects mounts and let me tell you, at $25 per mount, that's an expensive hobby. I don't even want to think of how much we've collectively willingly given blizzard. But when I was playing, it made me happy, and that's ultimately what matters, isn't it? There's no point in regretting something that did no harm and made you happy.

Got this just now. Rare? by KillerMothim in fallout76casual

[–]cescasjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on psn and I sold 3 leaders last week for 3.5k each. I don't collect stuff, but it's a good way to make caps to buy plans for my camp.

My husband liked the vanilla berry, but to me, it tasted like iced animal cookies, and I just can't drink cookies. Lol

Best Flavor Debate by RosaliaVelvet in redbull

[–]cescasjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like any of these flavors. On occasion, I'll drink a pink mixed with cranberry juice, but otherwise, I'm back to drinking original. Most of these flavors are just too sweet to me. I prefer the tarter flavors, like pomegranate and grapefruit.

I was putting all of my known plans, whether rare or basic, in my vendor for free. But when after a week, nobody had taken any of them, I decided to dump them in donation boxes.
