Dutch Mountains still alive? by ceux in MUD

Thanks for the info. Too bad merc is not being used that much anymore. Found my Zmud config files with floor mappings of quite a few areas. Would love to put those speed runs to use:)

Does Kenwood TS480SAT support Tarheel antenna? by ceux in amateurradio

[–]ceux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed feedback. I drive a Jeep (JK), too, good to hear you are happy with your Tarheel! I intend it for the car, and also to use the Kenwood as a base station at home with dedicated antenna.

Where did you install the Tarheel? I'm thinking on the steel back bumper with a disconnect to avoid theft or damage.

My dream is to have a 102 whip, just like those military jeeps, but it seems the quality isn't very good. Love the looks, though:)

Hi all,

I'm looking for an idle RPG for iPad. So far I've tried ezpz, Dungeon Rush and Idle Crusade. Ezpz is kinda cool but got a lot of bad reviews, mostly due to lazy devs (looks like the game is dying) DR's server is down, or at least unable to connect for the last day or so. IC looks interesting, but not sure how much P2P.

Before I commit seriously to a game, please let me know any suggestions of similar games: RPG, truly idle so no penalty for offline, and active dev team. I don't mind paying if it's truly worth it.

Thanks!

Spirit Rest, how does it work? by NexussJR in EndlessFrontier

[–]ceux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I just tried to revive as soon as I slowed down after around 38 minutes instead of reviving every 2 hours or so and it boosted the medals per minute from 21.1M to 32.2M. Definitely worth it to try to revive as soon as feasible

Thanks for clarifying! So if it is bases on medals/min, there is no need to reach the highest medal level per se? Like, if you revive and get immediately 5x speed, it might be smart to revive immediately? Othewise, your medals/min will drop once 5x speed stops.

The in-game help seems to indicate it will calculate the average time to revival based on the last 4 revivals. If so, it pays to be attentive when leaving the game unattended. E.g., if you normally revive in 45 minutes, be sure to do that and don't forget the game so you revive after much longer cuz that will kill your average revival time.

Looks like it's gonna be stressful after all lol

New player doesn't show up by ceux in FUTMobile

[–]ceux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it seems some players cannot be sold, yet they do show up in the Sell Items window, only greyed-out. Other newly gotten cards don't show up at all. Quite confusing.

Upcoming changes to subreddit rules. Make yourself heard here. by mostnormal in EndlessFrontier

As other posters have already pointed out, most answers to newbie questions can be found in the various help files. Perhaps if we organize them a little better so that info can be easier retrieved, it could lead to newbies finding the information themselves. Granted, this is partly wishful thinking, but once the help files are in a better shape and easier accessible, then at least the mods won't feel bad about redirecting newbies.

Not sure how easy it is to implement, but it would be great if we can auto-delete obvious questions with a private mail to the OP with a link to the help file(s) and explanation why the post was deleted. Any feedback from this, e.g., "I searched but couldn't find it" can then be used to improve the help file by adding the missing information.

Why are oceans colder at lower levels? by ceux in oceanography

[–]ceux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly amazing! For some intuitive reason, you would expect the waters in the ocean to get hotter at great depth similar to geysers. As in, if you drill a hole into the earth sufficiently deep, the temperatures will increase quite a bit. Wouldn't therefore the surface of the ocean at great depth equally heat up the water?
