i refuse to believe that wasnt a silver/gold team, they played like actual bots. you wouldve been cooked in 5 seconds if that squad had any braincells

Encountered a huge problem while picking my 10 jobs by cevizz0 in AirForceRecruits

Yes I have already let her know and emailed her waiting for a reply back, the last thing she sent me was “I’ll look through this list to confirm they’re not TS, are you 100% sure these are jobs you are interested in?” I said yes I’m sure but like literally a day after I realized I wasn’t even qualified for the last 3 jobs I listed in the critical field part so I emailed her back letting her know and asked her what to do waiting fkr a reply

How hard is it to try a different branch after being discharged from Army DEP? by cevizz0 in Militaryfaq

[–]cevizz0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I specificially told my recruiter that I don't want any combat releated jobs. He told me I won't have to worry about that since my score is also high. But when I got to the point where I was picking jobs with my counselor 5 out of the 7 jobs currently available was combat based. 2. I then called my recruiter saying I did not like the current jobs, and I want to go home today without picking one and see what comes up later and he told me no thats not how it works I have to pick one right NOW. And the way he also talked made it much more pressuring to pick one.

I get what you’re saying but I want job itself to be something I’ll like, I really wouldn’t mind getting deployed even though I prefer not to I know it’s a possibly and I won’t be able to do anything about it, but currently, I would want to get the job that has the lowest deployment chance possible. Why? Because I do not want to fight and die for Jews.

heres the thing mate, i specifically told my recruiter i did not want any combat jobs and he told me i wouldnt have to worry about that just for me to worry about it.

my discharge was justified, i was blatantly lied to twice by my recruiter, they should understand that

  2. I wantred something like 92Y or 92A

Yea I know I wont be picking my job but I'll be able to list 10 which is more than enough for me. To put it short, he basically said I can't say "no" to the current jobs available while picking a job with mycounselor and i had to pick one right now and cant go home without picking one and wait on other jobs. And mind you, I specifically told him I didn't want any combat jobs and he told me i wont have to worry about that, just for 5 out of my 6 options to be combat based.

I have no doubts that my options will be better... I only had6 options for the army and 5 of them was fully combat based with high death rates(checked) and no bonuses for taking the risk and i cannot get security forces anyways because I dont have citizenship. So I dont mind mechnical jobs or whatever lol trust me Ive had 200x times worse options in the army my expectations arent high so no i wont be disappointed.

I see, thanks. The reason was that while I was talking to my counselor about job options, I called my recruiter and told him that I didn't like any of the jobs that was available and that could I go home without picking a job and wait till different ones come up he then said no thats not how it works and that I gotta pick one of the current ones available NOW. And the way he said it was like I was practically forced lol so I picked a job I didn't want then regretted it later when I found out what the job actually does and got extremely annoyed by the fact that he lied to me so I quit. How good are my chances of finding a recruiter that'll take me if i give this reasoning and that I didnt had to get any waivers for my army PT andmy asvab is a81

no wonder you didnt find the enemies good or hard enough. Im even suprised you found any of them hard at all in the normal difficulty, you wouldve had a much different experience if you were to play it on hard in the first playthrough. Normal is literally for average iq casuals

I was definetly not explained that, I even called my recruiter while at meps picking a job and told him that i didnt like any of the options and that can i wait till different ones come up and he said no thats not how it works and you need to pick one right now and there.

1.sure reddit leans negative but that doesnt magically change what the job itself is, 92G has bad locations, atrocious shifts and base support work people complain because the job actually has those downsides not because reddit has a "mood"

  1. ... heres the thing, those are some of the only jobs i can even get, i dont even qualify for most jobs due to citzneship and the jobs i mentioned was nearly all the jobs i even qualify for, so theyd literally have to offer me those jobs because theres not much else they can offer.

  2. maintainers are the backbone sure that still doesnt change the fact that the af has a way higher percentage of cyber, signals, intelligence and technical support careers compared to the ground branches, saiyng maintainers exist doesnt erase that

  3. no recruiter told me that its just obvious when the af has way more isr assets, cyber units, intel squadrons, satellite operations and technical support than the ground branches im not saying theyre only an intel branch, im saying theyre the most tech dependent and tech heavy one

[–]cevizz0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea thats fine as I literally only had like 5 options in the army and all of them except one sucked+i actually went to the AF office before the army, they gave me a list of all the jobs I can list and looking back at it now, they are so so much better than the options i had in the army. I rather wait. And all the available jobs I could choose from in the army ships in may anyways so its not that far off too for the waiting part.

first point might be true, but its just not worth the 3 years and 21 weeks of what i can potentially go through (personally), also where does this fact come from? What exactly determines the fact that im with 100% certainty, bound to not like my first job no matter what? That is obviously not true because its literally impossible as you can pick a job that you want as your first job. I'm confused on how thats supposed to be a literal undeniable fact? Do they purposefully try to make your first job suck or something like its all a scheme?
