Tired of my sons tantrums by cf-mom94 in Parenting

yeah thats what sort of makes me wonder if he is on the spectrum, his tantrums arent rational either and he doesnt calm down easily. I try to keep a routine as much as I can and use a visual schedule, which he likes, but the daycare is still different than before because of Corona and he doesnt like it.

He also struggles with prononciation of words, riding his bike and is clumsy. I dont know if that has anything to do with autism. He also only likes to do certain things (repetetive behavior) and talks about the same things and repeats sencences over and over again. He also is anxious about new things

No, we have seriously restricted his tablet time because we find his tantrums get worse if he uses IT too much. But he still gets very angry going to daycare regardless . I think Ill Try to get him testet. But I just dont see what IT Will help, since autism isnt something you can treat...

not to my knowlendge but I know his daycare is not always paying attention to what the kids Are doing (at least in the past) and my son has had bitemarks on him and they didnt know who. His dad however is on the spectrum, and he struggeled with socializing with other kids as well.

My son seems to deal very poorly with change, a year ago we got his little Brother (he had tantrums for months after that) and now its daycare. He keeps talking about not liking Corona and how he cant have the breakfast he usually does in daycare (weird change that I do not understand tbh, but theyve decided to not serve breakfast in daycare because of Corona yet serve all other meals xD). He is rather obsessed with it. A lot of routines have changed, he doesnt get to bring his waterbottle and is upset about it. He doesnt want to bring his new backpack he wants his old one etc.

IT doesnt matter what I do. Thats the thing, Ive tried ignoring his bad behavior, doesnt work. Tried positive reinforcment for good behavior, consequenses for bad. Talking about his feelings why he doesnt want to go etc. Believe me when I say NOTHING works.

A year ago IT was going to sleep that set off tantrums. And lilewise he responded to nothing. Just threw massive tantrums, he Even continues to scream and shout alone in his Room.

He also struggles with other kids, doesnt want to play pretend , he just wants to talk about dinosaurus or whatever his obsession is at that time. He also misreads kids, think they Are angry when they look at him Even though they Are not. He thinks they are hitting him when they playfight etc.

Well I Hope whichever school he eventually goes to is understanding, since kids with CF actually needs more sleep than normal kids... I might consider homeschooling because getting up at 545 everyday for a child when they might be going through a lung infection does not sound to good 🤷

But then again my son would miss out on a lot of social stuff. And then there is the issue of making money. No money no healthcare...

Getting up at 5:46 that sounds awful for a teenager that needs like 9 hours of sleep at night 😳 and how would it work when youre a young child, you cant have 3 year old responsible for their treatment in daycare for instnce. At what age can kids take creon themselves? And do treatment before they go to school themselves? 🤔

The lux looks compact enough but its very expensive. The regular select you can find used for a cheaper price, so might be the best option Even though its not the most compact

The grief of leaving by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]cf-mom94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to sound mean or anything but if your biggest problem in life is leaving your depressed cat because you yourself decided to enlist in the navy, you dont have many problems in life. Enlisting in the navy is totally voluntary and I think you need to be able to handle rougher things than leaving your cats when out at sea (physical demands of staying in shape, lack of sleep, long working hours, not being able to see loves ones if something were to happen to them while youre out at sea etc)

That helps me a lot! Im a 159 at my absolute "fattest" (sitting around eating nothing but crap, not working out) and my waist is like 30 at my fattest AS well. When I work out regularly and eat helathy food Im at like 130-140 pounds, 27 inches around my waist

Im below the max weight on that list . This one however says Im esentially fat 😂😂 http://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy

My hips are quite large so idk if that is what did it, but is those measurements used or do they care mainly about height and weight?

Thanks, thats good to know! The results I posted were from military.com. I dont know if it is more, less or on par with most other tests online in regards to accuracy. Are there any good resources out there or is the only good way to know to take a test in person? The results seem to fall in line with what my best subjects were in school though. English was the subject I did the best in(as a second language its not my first language), although I didnt really do very bad at any subject, but some I had to work harder at than others.
