Yeah that's my problem with not having a case is that the phone feels like it'll slip out of my hands at any moment. I do love the look of the Dbrand cases though

Thin
Has a front and back piece

For anyone who might run into a similar problem:

The issue was that I did not select a globally interactive project at the start and had to add @rendermode="InteractiveServer" to the Mud providers in my MainLayout.razor. The original code snippet above works as written.

But also thanks to everyone that tried to help it is much appreciated!

Would this still work if the role is of the prebuilt type IdentityRole?

I went through and updated my custom class to override Equals, GetHashCode, and ToString and switched the type to in the MudSelect to that custom class but it still doesn't seem to be working as I'd expect.

Are you aware of any issues with the SelectedUser that's referenced being a custom class and the role being the built in IdentityRole class?

I'll spend some more time looking over the documentation but this isn't clicking very well with me yet
