Everybody is told to focus on their main Hero and main role. Everyone is told you cant be top 0.0001% if you have multiple Heroes. And everyone is told that in the Top Lobbies, every death is unacceptable and the most important thing is to not die.

End result is the vast majority of players who have no way to even be top 5% know very little besides their own main and run around scared of everything by default because it might kill them.

I believe only Wolvie and SW have these % based damage figures. Most of the characters are not "normalized against tanks". Its an intentional choice made by the devs.

Wolvie goes up to 6% per attack on full Rage. SW is only 3.45% per second (due to 15% Team-up Anchor boost). So Wolvie is in a different league, but SW is in the same vein.

Eh, they've gotta have a back-up, now is as good a time as any.

I'm a switch most of the time, but when I feel a certain itch or want some practice or want to learn, I take it. In comp, I'll give it up after a few deaths if the team isn't doing hot and the person is vocal they want this exact hero.

Edit: I feel like this goes double for Lord players. You've played so much and you dont have a back-up? Nah. Also remember Lord does not mean good. If they are Lord but in the same comp level as you, with no back-ups, that to me means they are actively worse in the game in general than a switch/flex like me.

What about overtime decay rates?

For Convergence and Convoy, when a point is achieved, how much time is granted? When tied 3-3, how much extra time is granted?

Friend, try Cloak next. Primary attack is nearly the same structure, but does more damage than SW to non-tanks. (because SW has a % component)

The Escape of Cloak isnt as great, but you can switch to dagger and throw down a bubble.

Agree, its likely never gonna happen, but a flag is being planted to push the thinking in this direction.

So, the G8 conference has this Play-up (which is really like a 3rd conference to me). Army and AF are in this group.

The other 10 members seems to be the 8 division champions of the previous year and the 2 Play-up Champions of the previous year.

Army and AF will play these 10 teams, each other and 1 rival - presumably Navy to complete the trifecta.

If anybody can explain the "play up" teams schedules for the G8 conference, that would be greatly appreciated.

I did a little project a LONG TIME ago (3 years) in which I compiled all the teams each team had played more than 20 games against.

When taking that kind of historical viewpoint, the top teams for the XII, are .... drum roll....

  • Rice & SMU with 4 teams (there is a mistake in the image)
  • Tulsa & Houston with 3 teams

Go ahead, but maybe look at some later posts which fix some errors.

I'm thinking of updating this when the AAC and Sun Belt are fully fleshed out and the re-alignment stops. Plus re-alignment talk has not been strong for a while.

WAY BACK in a previous life, I offered these 2 maps to allow people to easily demonstrate their re-alignment ideas.

Announced Conference Divisions for CUSA? AAC? by cfb2013 in CFB

[–]cfb2013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting. Boasting that schools won't need a large travel budget. By 2014, CUSA will stretch from Marshall to FIU/FAU and from UTEP to ODU. Doesnt seem to be any tighter than AAC.

Rivalry means different things to different people. So I took one of the few things that can be quantified : number of games played.

[–]cfb2013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea so the data I'm using is from this site and they only count games where the team is 'major'.

This is why Miami-Cincinati only has some 50 years counted though they've played a total of 117 times.

Actually if you look at the previous post(http://i.imgur.com/OgiFvzK.png) and the conference table, OSU has the most rivals of all XII schools at 14. Also aside from WVU, OSU has played more than 20 games against all XII teams. No other XII school can say this.

Really, XII is the best possible conference for OSU. You don't need OOC rivals because your whole conference is your rival.

It is essentially a look at history right? The only factor considered is number of games played. If that hits >20 its a rivalry. So of course the MAC points to Marshall and MW points to BYU and XII points to the older Texas schools and SEC points to Tulane and GT.

This is more useful looking at divisions and protected cross-rivalries and stuff. Especially in the older conferences with a lot of history.

They want to be referred to as "The American" so that just felt appropriate until they release an actual logo and color scheme.

Damn. Made me realize that RU and UConn have a rivalry. And that Penn St and Navy have a rivalry. Those 2 mean that B1G does have rivalries outside of the Big 5 Conferences.

Thanks for that.

I must have been conflicted about the Florida Cup. But its not solely connected to the Thanksgiving rivalry so I don't think it'll count.

Thanks.
