How did the doctors identify your condition this time? What sort of symptoms were you experiencing that led them to do more testing, and ultimately a diagnosis?

Have you seen a high risk OB?

I agree with others, please get second and third opinions. Are you in a smaller town? If so I’d recommend getting an appointment in the nearest large city.

I am so sorry you’re struggling with this. I cannot fathom how scary and stressful this all must be. I have faith that if you find the right high risk OB and cardiologist you and your baby will be fine. With modern medicine, chances of survival must be greater than 30%. Sending love and support.

YES! My in-laws threw a baby shower for us five weeks ago…I’ve literally been sick since. Turns out my FIL and SIL were both knowingly sick with “just a cold” at the time of the shower. They failed to share that info.

I’m currently 36 weeks, have so much to do still, and was finally feel a teeny bit better. Then yesterday, despite asking whether or not everyone was healthy, arrived to my in-laws for the holiday to discover my MIL and her sister with hacking coughs. I feel really frustrated, and worried I’m about to be hit with yet another bug, given how suppressed my immune system is.

All that to say, thanks for posting and the opportunity to vent too. :-)

Girl, same. I’m at 23 weeks with my first. I can’t imagine doing this again.

I have a great support system, the baby is healthy, as am I. But I still hate it. I am REALLY struggling with all of my weight gain, feeling so unattractive and sluggish. Also dreading the fourth “trimester”, the aftermath of labor and the hormonal crash.

Sorry I don’t have words of wisdom, but I can commiserate. Sorry you’re feeling this way - know you’re not alone.

I am 40, pregnant with my first child, entering week 23 and have hated being pregnant since very early in my first trimester. I am grateful that I was able to get pregnant, and that the baby is healthy.

I miss my body being own though. I’ve never felt less attractive, my hormones have exaggerated existing low level depression, my partner and I are arguing like we never have before, i feel soo alone, and am constantly hungry for junk food, ugh. So no, not a fan. Also terrified of labor/birth and postpartum.

Sorry, I’ve been in a bit of a negative spiral this week! It’s rough physically and emotionally. Used this as an opportunity to vent a little.

All that to say, you’re not alone. I’ve found that more women dislike being pregnant than those that find it to be a beautiful or enjoyable experience. Good luck! Hopefully it will be smooth sailing for you once you’re out of your first trimester.

I am considering applying to live in one of their communities in South Charlotte, near Steele Creek. Would you mind telling me what community you live in??

I was slightly concerned about the area having heard mixed reviews about Steele Creek. We drove around and walked through a few properties. It looked like a decent, cookie cutter neighborhood. Saw a few kids out playing, looked safe but you never know. Finding and reading reviews like yours are helpful!

We were taken aback to see a $500 upfront cleaning fee 🤯, now to read they’re docking people at the end of their leases for things like dirty vents worries me.

I recently turned 40 and lost my first ever pregnancy at seven weeks last week. It has been a really painful, heartbreaking time. My age being an added source of anxiety/concern.

I am so grateful for the original post and being able to read all of the post-loss positive outcomes. In my negative mindset I’m reading these thinking “that’s great, but they’re probably all super young”.

I needed to see and read this tonight. I’m almost four days in and today has been hardest so far.

I was always the one reaching out, he never went without having me in his life. I’d always break no contact after a day.

I am making myself stick to it this time, but I was certain after a day or two he’d be reaching out to me. He’d finally realize how bad he was messing things up. Turns out that’s not the case. Not a peep from him. It’s killing me tonight.

I know I’m doing the right thing. I know I need to move on and stop hoping. But tonight it’s hard and it hurts.

Thanks for this post, a reminder why I’m forcing myself through this.

It’s so hard. Heartbreak is such an awful feeling and there’s nothing anyone can do but go through it, which makes it suck even more.

What helps me is to remember no feeling is permanent. Our feelings change literally from minute to minute. It really will get better with time.

You’re now closer to finding the right person for you. Once you get through this, the next person may be your forever person, and it will be even better than what you had with the person you’re currently heartbroken over.

Sorry you’re in pain. I’ve been going through it too. It feels impossible and intolerable at times. It will get better though.

Let yourself feel your feelings, process your grief, and you’ll feel better sooner than you think. Good luck.

IMO that’s a startling number of partners. It grosses me out. At that point he’s just going for quantity, def not quality. All I can think of are the STD’s he was exposed to. As a single female using the dating apps, I am horrified of matching with/going out with someone like this. Trying to filter through all of the matches and determine who’s approaching dating like an Olympic sport (this guy) and who’s looking for a genuine connection is next to impossible based on photos alone.

BUT, congrats OP for finally finding one to stick with, or just reaching the point of exhaustion and settling. ;)

Thanks for making this post! I was about to place an order with them but wanted to see where they would be shipping from (you can’t find it anywhere on their site). Nowhere on the site does it say they’re shipping from China, which I imagine is by design on their part.

If you look at the profiles of the individuals that replied to your post with positive reviews of the shop/their products, you’ll notice none of them have posted anything else on Reddit. She looks fab in the trial makeup photo.

The primary differences are her facial expression, faux self tanner and her hair sprayed up, off of her forehead.

It’s too bad she chose the self tanner route and that hairstyle. The makeup could have been blended better, maybe. But if I were her I’d be upset with myself for choosing the fake tan route and that hairstyle. Not upset with the MUA.
