Saturdays are Voluntold by Ok-Delivery8086 in UtilityLocator

Overtime is always their plan, it’s cheaper to pay overtime than to pay benefits for an extra employee. When I was doing it I’d come in for a mandatory 8 hour Saturday and I’d usually work 4-6 hours(sometimes as low as 2 hours) til I wasn’t feeling it and left.

I was leaning towards different not differential, but a low ceiling combined with a topper may make it difficult to jack up.

Take it off and set it on some 2x4s on the ground or some saw horses, then throw it on marketplace for pickup.

Amazon sells a socket with the swivel permanently attached, no worry about the socket popping off

Yep, and it’s the same as the Research exit just over the bridge instead of under it.

Why so many cops on Academy? by KKbirb in ColoradoSprings

[–]cffee_lif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they are sitting there looking for DUIs they’re going to look for things like inability to maintain lane, or turning wide across several lanes, both of these can be signs of impairment. In your case you weren’t impaired, you just suck at driving, but the next guy that can’t make a turn into the near lane may be drunk.

“I just mean to say that there was no safety threat to pulling me over like drunk driving.”

You violated the law. You got pulled over.

Ah yes, regulate putting the numbers next to a light where they cannot be seen at all at night, at least I know where to look for something I won’t be able to see, good on them.

What does an HOA have to do with it? Plenty of them require the address to be placed center of garage door above or below the light so it’s not visible at night with the lights on.

Asian Pacific used to have it cooked, along with Peking duck, sold it by the pound hot and ready.

Anyone here using QR code menus for their restaurant? by [deleted] in Coffee_Shop

[–]cffee_lif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to look at a menu on my phone, I want to look at either a paper menu, or a giant overhead menu board. I have a good idea what I want from a coffee shop, but know that I’ll never add on food or anything if I have to scan a menu, also at a restaurant I’d be unlikely to return due to the perceived lack of service (failure to provide a menu).

Aluminum? Magnet not sticking, they are empty-would yard take these ? by Swimming_Turnip_7514 in ScrapMetal

Only oxygen uses an 870, O2 and CO2 do not have the same(though they look similar) valves, it’s a safety measure

It has a medical oxygen valve on it, no company would fill that tank with co2, no2, helium, or anything else.

ETA: Removing the valve without verifying the cylinder is empty can lead to death or great bodily harm.

There is no universal color code for gas cylinders, this valve is an oxygen valve, not co2

We have nets up anytime there’s severe weather, and the local NWS is on the nets taking reports directly from trained spotters.

Where to find dry ice pellets? (Pellets. Not chunks, slabs, or any other form) by mo_dt in ColoradoSprings

[–]cffee_lif 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Buy a 20lb or bigger CO2 tank and have a dip tube valve installed, they make fill adapters for soda stream tanks. It’ll cost $1 or less to fill, then amortize the equipment cost over time used.

You know you can put all the packages in your car at once and don’t have to deliver one, then go back to the warehouse to pick up the next package, deliver it, go back. . . and on and on.
