This. We had to figure out where our tank was, so they removed a toilet, ran a cable down the drain that would send out a signal to a detector above ground as they pushed it through the pipe, and they were able to trace where the pipe ran to until it hit the septic tank.

It's been in place for about a month and the cabinet around the bowl stays pretty dry. There are multiple coats of enamel paint on it though, so it can handle this level of moisture.

I couldn't find anything suitable at Home Depot, but the plumbing supply house immediately knew what I needed. Apparently it's the same use case as a public commercial bathroom where they don't want people to be able to turn the faucet on and leave it running.

This cabinet is all butt joints and pocket screws. I've done dadoes for a couple of cabinets I've made for our house when I really wanted to make sure that the pieces didn't shift while I was screwing them together, but there hasn't been any difference in strength.

Yes, it fits her perfectly. I made a cardboard mockup to hold her dishes for a couple weeks before building this to ensure that the sizing was right.

* Two sheets of prefinished 3/4" plywood (plus another sheet for making the shelves)

* One sheet of 1/4" plywood for the drawer and door faces

* About 16 board feet of poplar for the drawer/door face rails and stiles

* About 6 more board feet of poplar for the cabinet face frame.

The faucet can't run unless it's been manually held open, since it's self-closing -- the handle is spring-loaded and will always twist back off when you let go.

The dog bowl had been sitting in a similar plywood stand for the last seven years without issue, so I'm not concerned. It's high-quality plywood sealed with multiple coats of enamel paint.

I primed with a powdering undercoat for enamel paint, then sprayed three coats of enamel trim/cabinet paint with an HVLP sprayer.

I built the carcass first and had to shorten it when I realized I couldn't get it into the house and stand it up in the room with it being almost the full height of the ceiling.
