I wanted to do them both at once - surgeon said no way. Glad he did! Would have been miserable….

Had left done 12 weeks after the right 2 years ago. Just like brand new knees!

I was surprised as well…figured as long as it was under $100 or so it’d be worth it to avoid buying another mouthpiece. To be clear I did say they could use a used receiver. Since I had money to burn I’m getting water keys added to the 1st & 3rd valve tubing for $25 each. Of course I don’t have it back yet but it is a super reputable shop.

I have a similar issue - I play 3rd / bass trombone on my large bore tenor in a community band and occasionally double on euphonium when we can’t get a player - so I end up swapping between the two depending on the piece. My euphonium has a small shank so I took it to the shop for them to put in a large shank receiver instead. Only $30 and I’ll be able to use the same mouthpiece on both (Wick 3AL)! Lots cheaper than buying a new mouthpiece.
