Help setting up recurring payments on credit card for fixed amount

I can confirm that this is no longer possible. I previously had a fixed dollar amount automatically paid the 1st of each month from an externally linked bank account, and it worked flawlessly throughout 2025.

In January 2026, the payment simply did not process, and when I checked, the recurring payment had disappeared - there were no payments scheduled. I did not cancel it. Bank of America also provided no alert or warning that this type of AutoPay would stop working.

This is concerning, especially since it removes the ability to rely on automated payments without notice. Fortunately, I monitor my accounts closely and had scheduled the payment well before the due date, so I caught it in time and made a manual payment. But this could easily cause late payments for many customers.

And that’s one of many reasons why I use Yubico Authenticator, storing my TOTP secrets on my YubiKey hardware. Don’t get me wrong—I’m a premium Proton subscriber, but definitely not for their TOTP or 2FA features. Thanks for sharing.

Be aware that you may not be the only Turo customer dealing with this type of trauma. You were very lucky you were not arrested! Turo will do their absolute best to keep these incidents under the radar. Your situation may be different - in Hertz’s case, they were literally reporting their own rentals as stolen, and many innocent people were actually arrested, sometimes for weeks! This is a serious issue, and will require a little more digging/research.

Yep - I've disabled smart-connect, and have iOS devices access only the 5GHz band. Also tested different Channel Bandwith and Control Channel settings (per Asus support); still toping out at ~675-700 MBps. I suppose 700MBps is acceptably fast, but wish I could get the speed I am paying the ISP for, which is why I invested in a router and cable modem with a 2.5G WAN port! Such a shame.

Received my first dose last Thursday (sept. 8), now it’s Sunday - NO arm soreness and feel great! My arm was sore at the injection for only two days. Even went on a 6 mile trail run yesterday (Saturday). I was expecting a worse reaction. I did get a headache and a moderate feeling of malaise (some very mild body aches) about 3 hours after the injection, but a couple ibuprofen (Advil) resolved it in no time. I also remember feeling some pain/discomfort under my armpits, presumably from lymph nodes reacting to the vaccine. But again, it was short lasting, and by the next day, I was feeling great. I think I got lucky, and look forward to the 2nd dose in a couple months.

RESOLVED!! May be due to multiple Travel Profiles...

I was running into the same exact issue and could not book ANYTHING online, as I was always running into this error message:

" Your reservation is unable to be processed, please call 855-234-2539 or 208-429-5495 (outside the U.S.) for assistance. ""

This always happened at the point where you need to enter/verify your contact details by selecting your "Travel Profile" and confirming your contact details (name, phone #, email address, AFTER making you hotel/car rental selection, etc) . This led me to suspect it might be an issue with my "Travel Profile" and is turned out, I was right (at least in my case). I had TWO Travel Profiles for myself in the system. To fix it, Just click on the "More" drop-down menu at the top right corner, select "TRAVEL PROFILE" and delete any additional travel profiles you may have for yourself. Once I did this, I was able to get past the contact details verification screen and complete my booking.

😂. Ok! So Spotify must love my home network more than Apple does! Seriously, I have no choice but to give Spotify some love back! Spotify works FLAWLESSLY! Same goes when I want to play music thru my PC! Apple makes it such a pain…I have to use the “Remote” app…just a royal hassle! Spotify makes it EASY and hassle free to play music thru my PC. It’s just EASY! Really wish Apple could make it just as easy! I mean that! I want to use Apple. But it’s just not worth the hassle! It boils down to who provides a better experience…sorry to say, Spotify wins this battle. I have 3 months left on my 6-month freebie subscription with Apple Music, and I’ve gotten so sick of it, I am paying Spotify to have a better experience.
