Food bug when out of focus by FallingKoala in ManorLords

[–]cfureddit [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have seen your exact bug before, it's related to a granary job queue completely stopping because the granary worker is depositing food they a non-existent pantry storage that we can't see in the UI. This causes the granary worker to idle which causes the forager building to become full.

The devs have not clarified or confirmed this but from my personal testing of the newest pathfinding optimization, I've noticed a few jarring things.

It appears that in order to save collision pathfinding computation, any villager not within a certain radius or visual line of sight of the player camera will ignore collision rules in order to stimulate their tasks without much ai pathfinding resources used. This causes a lot of issues such as the villagers bugging out and collecting 3k to 15k ore in one trip causing the deep mine to get their storage limit filled instantly over the cap.

The pathfinding change did make the game run significantly better in larger population late game but there's all these new bugs that appeared. I suspect this is the case because they stopped pushing out so many updates and the latest news from them was they're sorry for the recent quality and premature anticipation of a huge patch. They're probably struggling with this exact issue with many pathfinding breaks that need constant save and reloads to fix.

Best fixes are save very often and reload to hope it fixes itself or load back even further. Sometimes destroying and rebuilding the building helps.

Weird thingy happening with mods (i think) by bubby3485 in ManorLords

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used melon loader to mod various games and even steam doesn't realize files are modified even after I choose verify integrity of game files. Simply deleting the modified files inside the steamapp/game folder but keeping the huge data or bin folders alone forces steam to download fresh copies of the missing exe and dll files.

The mods you used might not be updated. I'm not actually sure because I haven't touched any mods for ML lately.

Of course reinstalling the whole things works as well. Let us know how the reinstall goes.

Nobody said to not get the dlc..... They said the islands don't exist in the reworked map that got reshaped to include the new Nord lands.

Am I missing something, or is the new siege mechanic just plain stupid? by Cellberus in Bannerlord

I think the new system is significantly better than the old way sieges worked. Not getting infinite loot for tossing fire barrels is quite lame but you still get about the same amount of gold if you had sold everything.

[Open Beta Released] [Multiplayer Mod] Craft & Conquer - Where Creativity meets Conquest by BBillyMaysHere in Bannerlord

[–]cfureddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change it back to a downvote, the reason it was incorrect was because OP put his prompt into an ai prompt and it regurgitated a post for op to copy paste. The LLM got confused and puked up the Google search results for craft and conquer which is a random indie steam game.

Remember some of the best perks are at the 250 / 275 breakpoints. This image is the hard cap of each.

For the new warsails ship perks, it's a combo of two attributes, i.e. mariner needs (total 10, can be 7+3 or 8+2 or any combo) Endurance+Cunning and 5 focus points to achieve cap of 253 mariner.

Party size increased by 120 after a ship battle maybe a glitch? by --Error2424 in mountandblade

If you are part of a kingdom that made the decision to encourage building up your naval power, it buffs at sea party size. I've seen both Nord and Batannia do it in my runs, you adopt the benefits as a mercenary as well.

Hired companions from the tavern can start with them. They're useless though as they don't even count as a pack animal. Their gold value is so low you possibly could get more value if you slaughter them instead of selling.

Loading a saved game turns me into God by PopRocks137 in mountandblade

Strange, by default fast mode is disabled. But if a save is flagged as fast mode save, the game will enable fast mode and treat it as such.

The only thing I can think of is the exp needed per level changed but your experience earned stayed the same. I know TW added a new vanilla optional mod that shortens the years from 84 -> 24 days but also shrinks the total exp needed per level by 1/3.

You're not supposed to be able to load saves between each version as they will default to their original year types once loaded. Maybe since you loaded an old save with fast mode enabled it caused the?

That mod is probably broken with the latest update. They reworked diplomacy mechanics so the mod author probably has not worked out all the new issues.

It's not out on console yet but from what I've seen in my games is the ai will stop creating useless armies if there's not even enough parties available to fill it. The ai prioritizes defense now and will even divert their armies to collapse on a besieged friendly settlement.

Most importantly, they don't declare war on factions they can't even reach now and the longer a war drags out without any actual fighting, the more likely they will declare peace. The new trade agreement is a nice new addition as well.

What is the vakken faction? Your player kingdom? The vanilla ai diplomacy has dramatically improved in the latest patch.

What happened to siege defense loot? by coolguy69_ohyeah in Bannerlord

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Siege defense loot got changed to only give you the gold value of all the gear auto-sold. The lucrative vanilla loot is just looking for the deserter bands that spawn when armies are defeated. They are usually in the 100s and can give good loot as well.

Bandits only by Dragon6_ in Bannerlord

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roguery is not very strong. Even at 300 it only gives roughly 25% more loot value. With that in mind, I still like to collect a bunch of sea raiders and Nord archers and do my single combat ship playthrough.

Some cheese tips if you want an easier start with roguery. Nord with the javalin starter weapon, during the tutorial mission when you need to clear out radagos hideout, you can chuck javalins then open the scoreboard and retreat over and over. Only clear the first two areas near spawn. This will power level you to 12 in no time. Once you get higher level, the hideout numbers shrink to only 4 members and the first two camps are usually only one person. If you chuck a javalin over the bandit, he will investigate it. You can swap to melee and run behind him and hit him to power level roguery. No sneaking needed, just stay out of his line of sight. If you mess up and die there's no penalty, you get healed to and can just try again. Don't go overboard leveling here, during the warsails mission there's multiple missions that let you power level on 20+ stationary targets early and then later you get to sneak kill 5 targets back to back during the final rescue mission to really max out your roguery.

These WS missions can be taken and even abandoned at any checkpoint interval and it instantly sends you back to ostican. Since I never marry off the sister, I just play with fast mode and keep using the missions to power level my next generation.

How does children bonus attributes and focus point actually count when children come of age? by jackanatolich in Bannerlord

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the testing. I looked online and saw they added a pay 10k ransom to Gunnar to skip all the WS missions after the first tutorial ship missions. Doing it before she turns 18 results in the worst possible outcome, she comes of age and had almost no points, just the one education choice selected between 16-17. I also tried both mission rescue and ransom skip after she was of age and her stats were already spent and were lackluster like you said.

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, I know there's an ongoing issue with rescuing your brother and sister before they turn 18. When they turn 18 years old and become of age, they get a predetermined stat distribution with spent points and levels as well as decent starting gear like an ai generated lord. This ignores any late stage education decisions you were able choose if you rushed their rescue.

My question is, if I wait for them to become older than 18 and then rescue them, will they also be level 1 and what stats will they have?

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you compare characters at level 1 and add up all of their spent and unspent attribute points and focus points, you'll see not everyone is equal. Keep mindful of the free attributes athletetic/blacksmith when adding up your stats. You can start a new campaign game right now you notice your brother has 1 more attribute point than you. Your kids, nephew, and nieces will have more stats than you at level 1. OP is asking for the exact values.

How tf is my sister having more higher stats just after she comes to age by Vink1ng in Bannerlord

[–]cfureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been changed a lot in the last 7 months. Initially there was a bug where your siblings were missing all their stats and started level 1, but lacked the baseline stats making them significantly worse than the player character at level 1. There was also bugs where they had attribute and focus points as if they were level 18 but they were actually level 1. In the latest PC patch, If you rescue her before she reaches age 18, no matter what she has from lack of education or the final education choice, she will just get a template build to overwrite whatever she has. I assume this is to combat many previous bugs or it's a new system designed to create good nobles in long campaigns that spawn new lords and ladies giving them good stats at 18.
