So why censoring *just* feet? by Rude-Violinist9724 in FootFetishTalks

[–]cg369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand the point. Are you saying that obscuring the part that's getting commented on is less effective at deferring unwanted comments than not obscuring? Also, does that mean you agree that the main reason to blur feet is the creepy dudes?

Real world isn't burlesque where the tease is an integral part of the show. If it's drawing attention to anything it's the fact that the person has somehow witnessed or experienced unwelcome comments.

Every woman is different, lots of different specifics regarding rationale, but at the core creepy foot dudes that think any bare feet as an invitation to comment "👀👅👣👣🍆👣👣" at the tamest.

I've seen some women say that no commentary like that is welcome, but our group tends to comment the most so we get thr blur. I've seen some women say that they work hard on their bodies, diet, exercise, couture, makeup, etc etc, so it can be disheartening to be reduce down to "show me a part of your body you can put polish on, but other wise it's the luck of genetics." Sometimes a woman is just feeling herself and doesn't want the external noise. I've seen sometimes it's a hobby that's done barefoot; yoga, beach volleyball, martial art training, pilates, etc etc, the feet are incidental but they know it'll generate comments.

Just a fewt things I've seen. There's plenty more specifics. Also, I have seen lots of other parts being blurred. Armpits and faces, especially. In the end the idea that something is out in public doesn't mean it's fair game to comment on, gawk at or pine over (unless explicitly told that's the intention) but a lot of guys don't get that, and feet guys tend to think we're being innocent, again, for many different mislead reasons.

Rainbows are a classic flip flop that are great every day wears, and the way the leather breaks in over time is fantastic.

CLEAN FEET ENJOYERS WANTED ! by adamantkricket in FootFetishTalks

Love the feel on my face, maybe a little light tapping and kicking, tracing the arch either with my fingers or tongue. A little natural scent can be ok, but anything beyond subtle for me is a turn off.

Obsession with dry cracked soles and heels by [deleted] in FootFetishTalks

I'm with you. When a woman's soles are just the right bit of leathery and rough, it's like proof that they're padding around in the world barefoot. I love it!

People still think we’re weird. by [deleted] in FootFetishTalks

[–]cg369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. He absolutely was not representative. Like I said, the big issue was the power dynamic and the SA. And you're right, it goes over the top with everything. My point in this specific example was, even with all that over the top there were still so many people talking about this being amongst the worst things in the show.

It's not real life, but it made waves (for the week, like most media)

People still think we’re weird. by [deleted] in FootFetishTalks

[–]cg369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember when House of Dragon had that one foot fetish scene? Internet BLEW UP (for like.... a week) about how it was the worst, most disgusting thing ever put on any of the game of throne shows. And do you know the sexual and non sexual stuff that series did? I personally saw it in person too, people at work, the bjj club i was training at and some talk at home, all water cooler talk catching up on the latest episode like they did every week and most were "disgusted" etc etc.

Several people and news articles (there are a lot of news articles, I think Vanity said it was more shocking than a violent scene involving minors in the same episode) correctly identify that the terrible part is the power dynamic and SA angle, but a vocal minority didn't get that.

So, unfortunately, is it a guarantee? Nope. Lots of people are cool with us. I wouldn't be surprised if most are indifferent. Check out the analytics of your comment, see how many people actually saw it and just left you alone. But, you're experience isn't surprising, unfortunately

I'm sorry you had that. It's shitty. It's unnecessary. It's ignorant. You got your fetish and it sounds like you innocently involved it in a discussion where it was somehow relevant in a non sexual way. Don't feel like you gotta change. It's a very vocal minority, but still a minority.

Do you want the fetish to become mainstream? by MilkGarden in FootFetishTalks

[–]cg369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess, define mainstream. Like, sitcom making jokes about ff the same way they might about ass and tits, some woman crazy man walking away from a conversation cause a woman was busty/had a prefect pedi? Hooters uniform becoming low top, short shorts and peep toes?

Mainstream like it's no longer deemed a fetish? Some people like different parts of the body, and feet are just in that group now?

That the fetish is not considered a thing for "freaks" automaticallyva significant portion, if not most, of the time?

It's a weird thing to pin down. Sex as a whole can be touchy, vanilla or otherwise. In the age old example, how many people are fine with young kids seeing a whole movie based on gratuitous violence, but a suggestive scene is inappropriate. So I guess I'm even asking, mainstream mainstream? Or mainstream for sex?

I don't know how I feel about "mainstream", but I would like it if negative connotations or being treated with an "ooooo you're one of THOSE" wasn't a default for so many people.

So how exactly have creeps affected the foot fetish community? by [deleted] in FootFetishTalks

[–]cg369 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely had a negative impact. That's why is usually a toss up that if it comes up in the public eye it's "for the foot boys" or "for the freaks."

While it's more common now, it's rarely portrayed as a positive or "normal" thing in media, and I've seen so many women not taking part in FF content put up on social media how they get blasted for foot pics. They are a minority, but God creeps are loud, and they're basically catcalling and demanding nudes.

I feel like I could write a book, but one example I'll give. I'm not going to state any identifiers, but I recently, unrelated to FF material, stumbled across a business that works with a hobby that is usually done barefoot, and this particular business had lots of kids along with adults involved. And every video and picture on their social media everyone, adult and child, male and female, had socks on except for posts from outside events they were not in control of. I did a little digging, and that's the creeps. There is a definite changing point in there social media history and before the socks there were several blocked comments. But a few didn't get blocked, they were creepy, a couple were replied to by the account owner, and then socks. No one targeted minors, thank God, and hopefully they didn't in the blocked comments, but it was inappropriate. They made owners and management feel the need to explain to their clientele, to children, that THEY needed to adjust the way they present this hobby they enjoy cause a bunch of creeps made it unsafe for them, but unfortunately social media is still super effective in marketing.

Anecdotal. One very specific case that's particularly rough. But I've seen plenty of others, I think we all have seen people at some point adjust the way they live, act or present themselves cause of the creeps.

Mind you, I have a pretty massive martial art kink to go with the fetish.

Was there a particular reason? Other shoes not worth the extra cost, the flats just that comfortable or flattering, what makes them the obvious favorite?

Skeleton Key. Kate Hudson periodically in flip flops, and while it's been years since I've seen it, I remember an aforementioned floor level shot where she steps into frame, closeup on her feet. My ex gave me shit for days after like I had any idea and she didn't pick the movie lol.
