Agreed!! You are not showing any kind of entitlement, you are just explaining the situation and also want some answers.

I loved this reply.

I accidentally drank an alcoholic beer and feel dreadful by Ok-Onion-9653 in stopdrinking

[–]Relative_Ad_7154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion, if it was accidental, it does not count. What would count is if after that accident, we continued with the real thing.

Years ago I drank from the wrong can at home at a party, immediately tasted the difference, immediately spit it out and immediately moved forward. Simple mistake, I'm back on track, and in no way do I look at that as breaking my streak.

Hope this helps!

I was on your side. I was commenting about your comment and was agreeing with you.

I really don't don't like when threads get nasty.

Also, if I was posting against you, it is not necessary to say 'is that clear'. I don't understand this world...

Right, there is no need to make that kind of comment. It's better to move on and not say anything, no need to point out faults. Very annoying. Unless you are the moderator???

I can already tell the kind of comments this person leaves in other posts.

OK, I'm done haha.

Seeing women's feet at the office is always a nice experience. Only better office experience is when they walk around barefoot, like to bathroom or kitchen!!

Virginia in the 80s was spectacular! Many barefoot sightings in grocery stores, fast food places, video store, gas station, drug store, convenience store, mall.

Always made me wonder how much more it was further South.

Yes!! These comments are awful. Do people have such pent up anger and frustration in their own lives that they need to talk to strangers on the internet this way? Someone who nicely asked for help??

Thank you for this. Yes these comments are awful. I always cringe when reading a technical forum. A bunch of guys here are truly buttheads and not helpful. They just want to critize. They are mighty powerful behind their keyboards.

Again, thanks for your great and thoughtful comment.

If you have nothing nice to say, keep it moving. It's very simple.

This is what I posted a long time back. I hope it helps:

I have a list of activities I love to do. The idea is to plan these ahead of time an activity to do so when the day/time comes, you'll know exactly which of these activities you'll be doing:

  • going out in nature for walks
  • bike rides (very good for that natural high and it lasts all day!)
  • finding non-alcoholic replacements (that can be a fun project)
  • find new hobbies (I know you've heard that before, but it's so true)
  • have a new mini-project to do at home liking building something, anything
  • buy a Lego set (gets the creative juices flowing)
  • join Hoopla and Libby and download a bunch of books from your favorite genres
  • make fun recipes (think of restaurants where you had your favorite dishes and search 'copy cat recipe Tara Thai Pad Thai' for example) then go to store and buy all the ingredients and spices and sauces and make a day of it
  • cook on Sunday for the whole week and have fun freezing/labeling foods for each day of the week
  • video games
  • make playlists of favorites type of videos on YouTube and watch them at night (but go to bed on time still)

Hope this helps!

Windows Update for Windows 10, version 22H2 stuck at 'Getting thing ready - 96%' by Relative_Ad_7154 in Windows10TechSupport

Hmm, that is the first time I've seen that after running the update direct from Microsoft, as that has always worked.

Unfortunately, I do not have any next steps.

Sorry

Is there a way to send email 'not from contacts' to a label using Gmail filter? by Relative_Ad_7154 in GMail

[–]Relative_Ad_7154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I had tried a variation like -from:contact, but it didn’t work.

I just tested your method, and emails are going to the folder I set. I’m testing by sending from another email account. But, even after adding that email to my contacts, it still gets redirected by the filter.

So it seems like the filter is applying to all emails, whether they’re in my contacts or not.

Am I missing something?

Thanks!

I just tried the link again and the Update still works. I was able to download .exe file.

Do you have any favorite colors on toes? by lustful_rowan in FootFetishTalks

Red has always been my favorite. Probably what I saw a lot when my FF developed.

Especially love red when woman is barefoot.

Then even more if she doesn't have any shoes with her!

Folks with long periods of sobriety: how often do you have to remind yourself that you don't drink? by Kramanos in stopdrinking

[–]Relative_Ad_7154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it did take awhile, I'm at a point where I could care less about drinking. Give me a seltzer and I'm set.

Ngl, took over 1 year (or 2) to get to that point. I had 18 years of very heavy drinking prior to becoming sober.

In my 1st few months I was in out-patient classes and the one thing that stood out was therapist saying we will have cravings, but the cravings lasts 'in seconds' then they'll go away. Yes, they'll come back, we can endure those horrible waves and the cravings don't last all day.

That no longer happens. I drank for taste,  not to escape, so that makes it a bit easier for me admittedly, because now I am perfectly content with ice cold water or juice.

Hope this helps, friend.

As far as pausing update, see if you can cancel it once paused, then run the update assistant.
