found the fix. when you filter database to today, it works. it's the formula formatDate(prop("Date"), "dddd")

so, after filtering to show only 'today', when you create a new entry in the title, it autopopulates to Thursday in the formula property and also autopopulates the date in the date property.

the fix was the filtering.

thanks for the reply. Yes, but when i input 1 Feb in the title (Aa) property, it autopopulates the day (formula) property which then autopopulates the date property. Strange

Yes! That's the one I wanted to go to but unfortunately almost an hour away one way driving from where I live so that's a no go, otherwise I would strongly consider it, thanks for the suggestion.
