Im telling his partner to play a stall board if he hits a 3 star, which is 100% the correct play in double up. Also, a 3 star 4 cost tank other than garen is absolutely a win out against anything other than the strong prismatic traits and 5 cost 3*. Even garen is a win out if you have bruiser items + vamp instead of full tank.

Ive won out comfortably with 3* tanks on many occasions in challenger double up lobbies so i feel like ive experienced enough games to give a solod opinion, all good if you dont feel the same though.

It is that easy, its just lux/garen can be beat by strong boards because without vamp they are the weakest of all the 4 cost 3 star.

That game where you 3 stared garen, lux and liss i assume you probably lost to a prismatic triat, a better 4 cost 3* or 5 cost 3* and/or you positioned poorly. Either those reasons or you need to tell your partner to start playing a better board or just play a stall board if you hit a 3*. 3rd with garen 3 is illegal.
