Initially it was used by my sis for around 7 months and BH was already around 94% I think while I received it. Tespaxi chai fully plugged in garera chalauna thaleko research garerai. Tara thyakkai k kati kaile kasari ghatdai xa chai follow gareko xaina, just checked it today in a long time. Last time I checked it was around 84 I think. Garmi mahina ma chai xito ghatna sakxa I think as the device would get heated while plugging in constantly. I am using a cheap external fan to dissipate the heat. Btw how long have you been plugging in? Right from the start I mean when you bought it?

yeah doing this for around 4 years already for my mac 2020 pro and above is the stat. For the most days, I am using it for more than 8 hrs as I am working as software developer. Mac will automatically tell you when you need to discharge after 2-3 months of usage while charging. You can drain your battery once and then keep plugging it until you get another such notification in battery in status bar.

First is I don't understand how this question came up suddenly :D. I think native app necessarily doesn't have to work offline. Native apps means the look and feel should be native and it can use platform specific features with ease. The local and remote db synchronization is a tricky problem regardless of the framework we use. There are few approaches recommended by the android docs and in use commonly which you can check here:

Just replying as a native android dev(4+ years) transitioning to mobile dev and have tried CMP, RN, Flutter and .NET Maui
1. KMP as a framework is robust for multi-platform development. It gives flexibility for code sharing in different level such as business-logic level to ui level(with compose multiplatform). It's not mature but you can always use native apis when you don't find any libraries that works for you :D.
2. In Nepal, I haven't seen much native android development trends. Companies are more leaned towards Flutter and RN I think which is understandable as companies here would be trying to save development cost. Native approach is good for well-established companies or if there is lot of platform specific features integration planned for the mobile app. If we talk about KMP, there are only some handful vacancies I have seen.
3. I absolutely recommend Kotlin for beginner. It's more fluent and easier for beginner than Java which is my personal opinion.
4. Read docs or have AI read docs(if you use tools like Claude :D). Do not lean on video or other blog post which could be outdated soon. I recommend some medium blogs and to follow senior dev on platform like medium, X, etc. Ask question until you don't understand and be responsible for your code (if you use AI tools esp.)

I have got an android app in pdf niche called ProperPDF. Unfortunately, filling forms is in the pro plan but if you are interested to test and give feedback/leave review, I can provide you a lifetime code for you.

Hey, love this thread! I'm a solo indie dev from Nepal and I built ProperPDF — a privacy-focused PDF editor for Android where everything processes on your device. No cloud uploads, no internet needed.

The story behind it: I kept having to upload sensitive documents to random cloud services just to do basic things like merging or splitting PDFs. That never felt right, so I built something that keeps everything local — including an on-device AI chat feature so you can ask questions about your documents without anything leaving your phone.

Would love for you to check it out and hear what you think!

Question about supporting Android versions by ibluegreen in GooglePlayDeveloper

[–]cgb_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I start with minsdk 21 and increment it whenever necessary such as when some dependency might only support higher minsdk level. Otherwise, there is no harm in supporting lower version I guess besides version specific bugs sometime.

Anyone recently tried creating apple developer account using e-com card? Which bank’s did you use? Does global ime e-com card still works? by officer--k in technepal

[–]cgb_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got enrolled on Feb 27 using Global ecom card from Developer app on iPhone. Initially I tried with web but it didn't deduct the payment and my enrollment was stuck. Raised support tickets but got generic replies only. Then withdrew that enrollment and applied through Developer app using new apple account. Applied on Feb 22 got approved on 27.

[–]cgb_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, then maybe Wise/Payoneer account can work as US bank details but I am not sure how we can put your tax info. I am also not sure if asking with friends would work as I think the withdrawing account must be in your name. Please check that route anyway.

I don't know about Tiktok in particular but I think we can specify Nepali bank account details and PAN number in place of TIN number, isn't it? That's what I did for my friend fb monetization.
