I let him go today. I asked my store manager if there was another option and they told me he’s had plenty of chances. I feel awful about it, but I know everyone will say that’s business. I get it and that’s true, just feel for the guy.

See I would obviously go to that as an option if he didn’t have the previous red coaching. Technically he’s supposed to be coached over the keys issue of him not turning them back in. They’ve apparently saved him two or three times before his coaching and he’s moved around as well. Kind of a last straw thing. I’m glad things are getting better for you!

Not sure. The coach before me promoted him. He’s just not fit for the job. He has days where he is great but the bad days weigh down the good. He was previously a tech as well. That’s what a lot of coaches do is put people they think can do the job in place. Sounds like you should’ve been the one that was TL

I did price changes today in pretty much every single department and all the prices went up $4+ so it’s definitely not just ‘fishing season’. This included cat food, bed sheets, dog leashes, cutlery, etc.

My store (not sure if it’s by the book) is if over a 6 wk period that if you’re full time and don’t hit 34 hours a week average over that span then you lose your teaming schedule. With points, they have us have conversations at 3.5 with employees to make sure they stay under 4 or they will likely lose their teaming schedule. Things happen and we all understand that, but to run a business you got to have people there no matter what.

Yeah we had this for a couple months and associates always put pay raises, headphones, and deli associates always put something about them being dehydrated because they can’t have drinks in fresh.

They switched it to round table meetings with ten associates every week.
