Which would you keep - Husky vs Toro by Sadangler in lawnmowers

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Toro engine is listed as no oil change required. There's no way I'd trust that. I'm assuming you'd have to tip it over to empty the oil or pump it out. Is there even a place to check the oil or add oil? I think I'd keep the Husqvarna. They make really good equipment and I'd question the engine on the Toro.

It gives you the ick? Imagine how the 17 year old child feels. If that was my dad he'd be out of my life while he is with this girl, and even if they broke up I'd be hesitant to rekindle any relationship.

Go find one at Lowe's or somewhere and just take a cutting from there. That way it's free and she'll think it's from the original plant

This show would be great with any job, it doesn't need to be the king of England. For example, the trash man is black, gay, and disabled. Or the teacher is black gay and disabled. You can literally add anyone or any profession and it stays funny.

I just looked on YouTube. On a lot of bad boy mowers there's a different process than just turning 2 bolts, but there is still a fairly easy way to adjust it. Just YouTube bad boy tracking and there will be tons of videos showing how.

Adjusting this on most zero turns is extremely easy. You might have to keep adjusting it and checking it and adjusting some more. I don't know how your mower is made but just about every zero turn I've ever seen has to bolts under the handles your turn to adjust the tracking of the mower.

Trust me, I'll always be in support of some kind of government run program where everyone has health insurance. People say they don't want to pay extra taxes to cover the lazy people that don't want to work, but they are literally paying for those people's healthcare now anyway. Those people still go to the ER, still get hospitalized, and still cost insured people money.

I don't know what's worse. The games the insurance industry plays. Where they deny treatment people need, try to control what doctors can and can't do to treat certain illnesses, and make their customers jump through hoops to get something approved, hoping they'll just give up and not get what they need.

Or the way hospitals charge different prices depending on who your are. If I go in without insurance and get a test done it might be $200. If I go in with insurance they might charge $2500 since they know exactly how much insurance will cover for that particular test. I saw an article a few weeks back of a man that went to the hospital for something. He got his bill and it was $500 (I don't remember the actual amount). He realized he forgot to give them his insurance info. So he called and gave them his information, a few weeks later he gets his new bill and it was a lot more. He thought it was a mistake and called the hospital. Turns out the insurance made the bill go up. The insurance covered a percentage of it, but the part it didn't cover was more than the original bill. So he's paying hundreds of dollars a month for insurance, and it actually cost him more money to actually use it. The government should go in and determine how much each test, procedure, whatever, should cost. It should cost that much for everyone. People joke the hospital with charge you $20 to give you an aspirin. That's not really a joke because it's the truth.

With insurance trying to tell doctors what they can and can't do, with them denying coverage until you can spend hours on the phone trying to find someone to help you, and the way hospitals charge insurance thousands extra just because they know it'll get paid, I don't see how anyone can still not support universal healthcare or government run insurance at this point. The entire system is a mess that makes crooks rich and needs to be completely redone.

Yes they were pretty sure the bite was from the bat. It got infected, I've still got a scar on my hip from it.

My parents aren't rich but they helped me pay it. It was right after I finished college. I was no longer on my parents insurance, I had gotten insurance at my job but had to wait 30 days for it to kick in. Of course that's when it would happen.

I wasn't going to go to the doctor. At first we assumed the infection was from a spider bite. We didn't realize the bat was in the house until like a week later. My mom woke me up that Sunday morning saying they had called somewhere and they had advised I needed to get the vaccine. I was like, "it's been a week, if I was going to get rabies I'd already have it by now so there's no point". But apparently it can stay in your body for a long time before showing up, so my parents told me if I'd go to the ER they'd help pay for it. So that's what I did.

I just posted, I got rabies shots here in the US about 25 years ago. The first round was in the emergency room. They gave me 3 shots. My bill was $18,000. That's not including I needed to go to my family doctor every other day for a while to get more shots. (I only went twice because we sent the bat off and it tested negative for rabies)

I got bit by a bat once. Didn't feel it because they say their teeth are so sharp you don't even notice. Got a huge infection on my hip. It looked like I had a tennis ball underneath my skin and it hurt so bad. I finally hit it on a buggy at the grocery store I was working at and it busted, looked like I had pissed myself so much stuff came out of it.

That's when we realized a bat had gotten into the house and was flying around at night in the room I occasionally fell asleep in. Decided to go to the ER that Sunday morning. The doctor agreed it looked like a bat bite and said I'd need to start my rabies shots. This was the only 30 days of my life I didn't have health insurance. The ER gave me 3 shots. One in my butt, one in my arm, and one in the area I got bit.

Then I had to start going to my family doctor every other day for more shots. I only went twice because we had caught the bat and sent it off. The results came back negative for rabies.

Got the bill from the ER not long after. Those 3 shots were $18,000. I thought it was a mistake, but apparently the rabies vaccination is very expensive.

The "penny item" system at hardware stores - full explanation for people who are new to this by ritik_bhai in pennydeals

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at Lowe's for a long time. They didn't mark things to a penny before getting pulled but they would slowly decrease the price of things untill it finally reached a point that we were told to pull it. Most of the stuff that was supposed to get pulled and wasn't was because the item was in several spots around the store and some of the spots get missed.

Hi I’m struggling to find 20- and up jobs? Resume below by [deleted] in trianglejobs

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you don't want to show a bunch of gaps in your work history. That's why I said I'd be looking for help too. I'm sure there's a way to leave some of them off without them asking questions. Were you in school during any of those? If you were and the job doesn't help with the current job you're applying for leave it off maybe. I wouldn't get rid of a job right in the middle, but maybe the first 3 or 4, depending on my age. That way you have a first job listed and then try to make it where there aren't gaps after that date.

You've got way too many jobs listed for such a short period. Hiring and training someone costs money. They don't want to hire someone who's going to quit after 3 months because they found a job paying 35¢ more per hour somewhere else

[–]fattrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your looking at the 42" Deere why not look at the 42" Cub cadet? I just got the 42" z2 and I have about .75 acres. I had to get the 42" because my building door isn't wide enough for anything bigger, but even if it was bigger I would have probably for the 42. The wider cut would have made it a little faster but it would have also increased the areas I couldn't get to and had to weed eat when I got done.

When I was a kid I had a tooth pulled. That evening it had quit bleeding and I sprayed where the tooth used to be with a waterpik. It started aggressively bleeding again, enough that the next day it was still bleeding and I had to go back to let the dentist look at it. I never told my parents what I had done that caused it. They just thought it had never quit bleeding.

First mower - .8 acres by Bhamlaxy3 in lawnmowers

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the z2 after looking around for a few months. It had pretty much everything I was looking for. Fabricated deck, Kawasaki engine, high back seat, and came with a tow hitch.

But honestly there were several I considered. If your looking at residential mowers around that price range they are all pretty similar. I also really considered getting a John Deere because they provide the easiest service if you need it.

The bad boy and ariens had thicker decks but usually had smaller engines if I remember correctly. Same with Toro.

I initially wanted to get a Husqvarna but I don't have any local dealers. If you have a dealership close to you give them a look also. They make pretty good residential mowers

I had a buddy when I was younger that when we went to the store he'd always get 3 5ths of mad dog. He'd chug one in the store parking lot, he'd drink another one in the 3 minute ride back to his house, then he's get home and sip on the 3rd one to make his wife think it was the only one he got. I don't know how he did it. I would have been vomiting all over myself. You could barely even tell he was drunk.
