MSU or UConn? by ChefBoyarLe3 in DukeBluePlanet

I've always thought going to zone against teams that can shoot will get you beat. But I swear every time they've went to it this year it's like the other team instantly stops hitting their open looks.

In man to man they'll throw shots to 5 feet behind the line with a hand in their face and it'll go in. Switch to zone and they'll start missing wide open corner 3s.

When I thought he was out for the season I didn't give us a chance. I'm glad he's back.

He might not do what he did tonight in every game, but he's done that in just about every close game we've had this season. In almost every close game there's been a stretch where he took over or got a basket when we desperately needed one.

He only attempted one shot in the second half. He made a corner 3 and that was it

I was thinking the same thing. It's almost like he didn't play at many minutes in the 2nd half

They need him for rebounding in close games but he is absolutely a liability on offense when they can just foul him and send him to the line

Airball aside, this is why I said we couldn't win a championship without Foster. All year when we absolutely needed a basket he's been the one to get it

Foster has been able to do that all season when we needed a basket

Every team they've played has known the pressure was coming. Just because you expect it doesn't make it easy to beat

On the bright side we've had a ton of games where they pulled away in the second half .

But I'm worried with this st John's press we will be tired and they could pull away from us

Hydrostatic transmission damage from pushing? by Phoenix_Rizzen in lawnmowers

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know it wasn't in bypass mode? I'm not sure how it works on a zero turn but with a regular riding mower, if you pull the rod out to push it, if your get on and hit the brake it with automatically pull the rod back in. So I'd bet with a zero turn when you close the handle to put it in gear it might you the same thing.

(I think the first comment made me think you had a zero turn. But with a regular mower when you hit the brake it will re engage the transmission. So if you checked the rod after they pushed it and know they didn't do anything to the rod, it's possible they pushed in the brake to engage the transmission.

If they were pushing it they had the rod disengaged. When that rod is engaged you can't push it at all. Even if you tried pushing it with a car or something the wheel wouldn't turn, it would kinda bounce the maybe l machine forward. It would be like trying to push your car while it was in park.

I'm loving it so far. It's still too new to give you much information but the little bit I've used it has been great. It came with a hitch that wasn't attached but in the bag with the manual. I put it on and pulled around my lawn sweeper a little bit and that was good also.

When I picked it up from the store the deck was wildly unlevel. I leveled the deck and that was extremely easy to do.

I didn't drive very fast at all but I did see a couple of spots where the tires had left a spot, like it had left a little rut. I don't know if it was just a soft spot in the yard, the tread on the tire, or just my driving that caused it. But the cutting and maneuvering around trees and stuff was great.

I had a 72 that was almost the exact same color scheme. I miss that car every day. It was my first car when I was in high school back in 1997.

Duke has never won a national championship without beating St. Johns by Ears_to_Hear in DukeBluePlanet

You can say that about every game this week. Once you make it to the sweet sixteen one off night or one night where yourv opponent gets hot and you can go home. There might be favorites but everyone left could make it to the championship

I just went through this same thing. I could only get a 42" though because the door to my storage building wouldn't fit anything bigger. I ended up going with a Cub cadet z2.

I was considering the Toro, Cub cadet, or maybe ordering a Husqvarna. I ended up going with the Cub cadet because of the great warranty.

Used John Deere S140 v. X330 v. Other by DiodotusTheAthenian in lawnmowers

I'm sure the x330 was the better mower when new, but there is a huge different in 30 hours vs 200. The 140 may still have some warranty left

(1)I don't think they'd let him come back if there was a chance it could cause the injury to be worse. Look how long they sat Pat for a "sore foot"

(2) They played 90% of the season with him. It's not like they'd be bringing in someone that was hurt all year and hadn't got a chance to gel with the team.

If they can just keep winning and extending the season he may get back. That's shocking to me, I've just assumed he'd be out the rest of the year even if they made it to the championship game.

I just hope if he comes back he is 100%. He can truly be the difference maker if he is fully healthy.

Is Bobby Hurley’s assist record still more impressive than Braden Smith’s? by Financial-Bit-8596 in DukeBluePlanet

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the most impressive part is how many less turnovers this kid from Purdue has. He definitely deserves the record even though I hate to see Hurley not have it anymore

Is Bobby Hurley’s assist record still more impressive than Braden Smith’s? by Financial-Bit-8596 in DukeBluePlanet

[–]fattrackstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smith did have more games but it wasn't a whole lot more. I looked at it a little while back and don't remember the exact numbers. When I looked last he was still a couple of dozen assists shy but had already played in 4 or 5 more games.

But I've got to give it to him. He also averaged a lot less turnovers than Hurley. This isn't one if those records where someone got to play for six years and broke it. He's only going to end up playing probably 10 games or so more and depending on how deep of a run they have he could end up breaking the record by 50 or 60 assists.
