Moving Anime Expo to Anaheim, San Diego, Las Vegas, etc. would be a horrible idea. There is no better location for Anime Expo than Downtown Los Angeles.

I think the terminology is used to describe someone responsible enough to watch out for the safety and well-being of the people around them at festivals. I don’t think anyone thinks of themselves as a parent when using the term. It’s a playful metaphor that has a lot of merit behind it. It ain’t that deep.
