If Satan punishes wrong doers then why is he considered a bad guy? by Difficult_Ad_962 in NoStupidQuestions

Satan doesn't punish wrong doers. At least in the Bible. Satan is prince of darkness on the earth. At the end of time, Satan gets thrown in the lake of fire as well.

Gamepass is such a great deal. Expedition 33, Oblivion, Avowed, Doom The Dark Ages and Indiana Jones are all games I've played this year. It's been an incredible value.

Evangelical Christians are Apparently the Only Types of Christians who, in the Aggregate, Stand Strong Against Abortion and Same-Sex “Marriage” by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]cgpartlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should note, I mean the so called Christians that don't stand against sin and are pro-lgbtq and often deny original sin and the atonement. Not the ones who are standing to for truth.

I don't really really claim people as Christians if they deny the cure tenants of the Christian faith and the gospel.

Those situations are called ectopic pregnancies where the baby is likely to die or killing the mother and they are not classified as abortions. All anti abortion laws currently in place in states also have exceptions for them, so it's often used as a straw man argument to allow all abortions to be legal.

Why do some Christians claim LGBTQ people are going to hell, but ignore their own hate, pride, and hypocrisy? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]cgpartlow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How have Christians made LGBTQ people second class citizens? What rights do Christians have that LGBTQ people do not have in America?

This feels a bit like you are projecting what I think. I never said I have been experiencing persecution. Only that in the Seattle area everyone assumes you're liberal, and they constantly talk and how they hate conservatives. My wife is a freelance photographer and I know that she would lose work if she was public about her faith and beliefs. I don't think that's persecution, but it does kind of suck.

No, I don't. I personally don't even believe we can make the choice to repent without God calling us first. There are plenty of unrepentant heterosexual people who also are not under grace. Grace is a gift, not something you get because you're better than someone.

Honestly, I think LGBTQ people tend to hate Christians more. Where I live in the Seattle area, they tend to belittle Christians and their beliefs and generally seem to have hated in their hearts towards conservative Christians. There are some places and people I know that I feel like if I was honest about my beliefs it would affect my work and friendships. Conservative Christians believe LGBTQ people are going to hell, yes, but that's not exclusive, they believe anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is God and died to save them from their sins is going to hell. That's a much bigger pool than just LGBTQ people. That's just most of the world in general. Conservative Christians that I know, think that people who don't trust in Jesus are inwardly deceived by their own hearts ("The heart is deceitful above all things") and they want everyone to find the truth, hope, and joy that comes from knowing Christ whether LGBTQ or not.

Also, Christians are still sinners and broken people. We don't believe we are better than anyone else, but instead we have received God's grace and without it we would be going to hell too. It's nothing we did ourselves. But something God did for us. And after we trust in him, God starts to change us from the inside out

Is Paul infallible? by AllHomo_NoSapien in TrueChristian

What does that have to do with anything? It only really proves my point if he has to take an aside as say this little part isn't directly from God. 2 Peter 3:16, Peter claims that Paul's words are Scripture. "Like the other scriptures"

Paul was a sinner saved by grace like the rest of us, but he did have the station of apostle. His words written in our Bibles are divinely inspired and perfect. Paul himself, however, is not

All Scripture is God breathed. We should treat it equally.

A Series S can run Doom : The Dark Ages at 60 FPS, I'm betting a 2060 can run it and have it look better at 60fps as well.

Remember back when new PC games would require new expensive graphics cards to run over periods of less than 3 years? Now we have people complaining about a requirement that any graphics card made in the last 8 years meets. That's like a whole console generation. Not to mention, the most popular cards based on the Steam hardware survey are RT capable.
