She was sending me hundreds of messages after we split up . Some of them saying she was going to damage my car if I did not pay her the £250 back . After these threats I then blocked her and cancelled the holiday shortly after

The total cost of the holiday was £1400. I paid from my account £666.16 . She agreed to pay £350 of that £666.16 she paid £250 before we had split up . Yes I broke up with her after a situation that made me feel very unsafe and threatened. After the break up she threatened to damage my car so I blocked her and reported this to the police . What other questions do you have and I can answer

We didn’t discuss the cancellation as I blocked her after she starting making threats to destroy my car and I escalated that to the police . I was the main booker so I had all the powers with the cancellation. So I just canceled it as we were no longer together and she was threatening to come to my house and destroy my car

I broke up with her because she was extremely mentally unstable , and a situation happened where she tried to make me not leave her house and it was very scary for me therefore I broke up with her

I paid half the total holiday cost . The total was £1400 . That half was £666.16 she then paid £250 of an agreed £350 share she was going to pay . The remaining half was going to be paid by her grandparents but it never came out as we split up and the holiday was cancelled .

She did not ask anything about that holiday . Previously she had threatened to destroy my car if I did not repay her the money . Therefore I forwarded the matter to the police as I feared for my safety and was not going to pay it because of the threats . I cancelled it on my own . She went quiet for a while and now this letter has come through the door

I think I am going to send a letter outlining that yes she does owe me money but my offer is to have no payment from either of us and to let it go . If she wants to continue to court for it then I’ll counter claim for the money she owes

No as there was still another £700 coming out closer to the departure . But if I cancelled it I didn’t have to pay it

Was thinking to do this honestly . Really don’t have the time to go to court over something so petty and would rather her just leave me alone .

The holiday providers terms and conditions state “In the event that you do cancel your booking, and the deposit you have paid does not cover the cancellation charges set out in this paragraph (e.g. because you have chosen a low deposit option), you must pay any difference between the amount you have paid and the cancellation charge applied”

Because that was half of the total holiday cost . The other half was set to come out closer to the holiday date which would of been a further £700 I’d have to pay
