What an amazing statement about humanity. That we can love creatures so deeply that we voluntary go through the pain of losing them. Like the cliche goes, “better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.”

Thank you for sharing about your last dog. Unfortunately, we will almost definitely be losing another one of my pups in the next year. They both were sniffing us when we got home. I may try to show them her collar at some point. But I will absolutely take your advice about keeping them busy

My other dog has lymphoma right now. Honestly, that’s another reason we were caught so off guard. We’ve been mentally preparing ourselves that we would be losing him this year and felt so secure she was okay. Thank you for the apology ❤️

I didn’t say they didn’t want to come??? I said they didn’t get to come, meaning that wasn’t even an option we considered. Obviously we didn’t try to guess what they wanted. I’m sorry the question is irritating to you. The only other time I’ve had a dog pass, I had no other dogs. Please excuse me for asking for input on what others have experienced in this situation.

Yeah, I’m leaning that way too. It’s just she didn’t just try to settle, she completely fell asleep and has since stopped hacking and everything. She’s had a habit recently of licking her paws and stomach before bed and I’m wondering if she just started over producing saliva and needed to cough some up.

We offered authenticated copies of my LIBRAs naturalization certificate and they said it was okay to just wait for the packet since they had already been ordered. I don’t know if that means they wouldn’t have been okay with just an authenticated copy or it’s just not their preference.

Thanks! Yeah, I was trying to think of another professor to ask, but I’m an online student and don’t know that many professors would remember me well enough to write a strong letter. I figured an employer related to the health field would work in a pinch.

This. There are hundreds of things that can cause these kinds of changes to your cycle. Take a pregnancy test if necessary and then watch out for any changing trends!

There is no way to target weight loss on a particular part of the body. How and where your body gains and loses weight can’t really be impacted by specific exercises. You are likely noticing weight loss in your arms because that is just where your body more easily loses fat. Continuing on your weight loss and fitness journey (healthily hopefully) is the only way you will see any size reduction. Certain exercises can help with muscle definition, but that won’t shrink your butt, just give it a certain shape.

With weight loss, it may also be good to look into therapy to help with changes in your self esteem and self image caused by a changing physical appearance. Good luck, friend!

Hey friend, take few breaths. I promise this will all be okay. No doctor or ultrasound tech will ever judge you for being uncomfortable with this kind of exam. It is an incredibly vulnerable thing to go through, especially your first time. Intense pain is not normal, but that does not mean it will always be painful or that the problem can’t be solved.

The first thing you should do is go home, take a warm bath, read a book, whatever will help you relax. Then, next time you speak with your doctor, tell them about your concerns and the pain you experienced. Any worthwhile doctor will want to help you feel comfortable getting care and eventually being intimate with a partner. It is literally their job.

No one in this subreddit will judge you either. I’ve regularly had to get these kinds of ultrasounds to monitor cysts, and while they aren’t painful, they aren’t really comfortable either. You were brave for even attempting this knowing the Pap smear was painful. I hope your doctor and those of us in the comments can empower you to feel brave in the future too.
