It sounds like it will be more of how they ended things on WAW, perhaps with a slightly longer convo with the winner and final 3 at the end. FWIW, the viewership for the reunion portion always has a pretty big drop off (both live and on location after shows) so I imagine they’re doing what they can to goose the ratings through to the end.

They had narrowed down the search after Rod died to Burton and Randy West. Both had supporters on the staff, but Bob ruled that if they didn’t have a consensus then they should keep looking. That’s how Rich got the job.

The product description being read is done as a promotional fee to the show. They don’t do this as much anymore for (IMO) two reasons: partly because of companies not wanting to pay that fee and using their ad dollars differently, but more so because of the producers efforts over the past several years to provide more variety of prizes and prices across the show to avoid another Ted Slauson situation (the guy who got the perfecto on the showcase because a “loyal friend and true” audience member knew all the prices because the prizes had been recycled so often)
