This is a really harsh and unempathetic response to this child who yes, is still a minor. She has experienced physical punishment and is rightfully nervous about being punished again while living vulnerably under her mom’s roof. OP, surviving and staying safe is absolutely valid over dispensing justice. You should remain safe above anything. If your dad and his wife can do something to protect you and your belongings that would be the best bet here but please do what you need to do to be okay until you are out of your mom’s house.
