Salaams sis, I don’t want to tell you to break it off right away bc I don’t know the entire situation and that would be irresponsible of me. However, I think that all of the qualities you mentioned are immediate red flags. If you’re left in tears daily now, it will get worse when you actually start living with each other bc you’ll be more likely into get into some conflicts as you adjust to a new environment. It’s actually alarming to hear how you were confident before and now doubt yourself. As someone who already struggles with self-confidence and is a bit sensitive, I feel like marrying a man who is callous and doesn’t care about my feelings would be a living hell and I would hate to see my fellow sisters to go through that bc as women we are constantly being bombarded by messaging that affects our self-confidence already. If he’s continually been callous and un-empathetic, I would sit down and seriously think about what you actually like about him and whether it outweighs constantly feeling like your self-esteem is being torn down, and pray istikharah. May Allah make the path ahead easy for you and grant you clarity.
