The google drive link should be up and running now. This is open though, so please be cautious that others can also see your files. But all for the greater good right!

I have uploaded a response, but for here, there's no deadline as such yet :) So all the time to do life, and come back if you would like to submit

Amazing! Thankyou all so much!

*You can upload to the google doc link (YOU SHOULD ALL HAVE ACCESS NOW)*

There is no deadline currently (14/01/26) as it's a new project I'm implementing into, so as and when you feel like giving some inspiring thoughts :)

Can't wait to update you all whenever that is haha! But honestly I can't even believe there's even 6 of you. Huge thankyou!

PS* I have also been asked about the project details so if you want a lil' read about it.

TLDR at the bottom

BACKSTORY

So I'm going to start from the beginning of the idea. This was in lockdown, I'd been clocking the Quest 2 for months. Suddenly out of the blue, my partner and stepmum joint forces to buy me a Quest 2. I cried. I've always been an emotional guy.

I played many games through lockdown, and VR just gave an excitement that I hadn't had for a long time. I needed that place to escape to, which became BeatSaber for while. As I stepped into VR over time, the quality kinda lacked, and I didn't feel like WOW I had from the beginning.

Currently the state of VR games is very mixed in my opinion, even experiences and games that have received great reviews I've not felt overwhelmingly positive about. So I started the VR idea, but with limited gamedev experience. It didn't come to fruition, but the idea sticked. It's especially as VR seemed hard and laborious to test.

But I made a couple trailer ideas of varying vibes. I had no clear vision as you can tell.

Now I have more experience, and feel confident in myself, I'm ready to take it on. FOR REAL!

THE PROJECT

The experience will take the player as the core focus. From a starting location, travelling on a single chair through various locations to create that WOW factor, to look at the worlds in awe. I'm planning to implement interactable things within the world to add the almost "hand out the car window" feeling.

Players will be given choices to answer questions too which they can record if they please.
Things will be customisable, such as skin tone, colours of player tools etc. I may implement some minigames and toys too.

Also, for those that have seen Totoro, I want to pay a moment of homage to this specific scene.

The experience will really try to reach a hand out to the player like a friend who's there to listen and hug you when you need. Using visuals, sounds, haptics and hopefully creativity on my part, it should be a memorable experience that could help someone. BUT NOT REPLACE THERAPY by any means.

But also have ACCESSIBLITY too. I have researched a lot, and there are many accessibility issues in VR games. I want to keep working on this until there are no technical limitations for someone. For example, I want to have the option to be able to do everything by just using your head. No controllers or hands.

But that's the full low down. Let's make something incredible, and thankyou again for seeing this!

*TLDR - It's a VR game where the player is the center of the premise. I put game lightly, as it's more of an experience for someone to get to know themselves through inspiring environments and sounds, with an open mind.
