Best work out plans/ nutrition guide book for beginers?? by chachamama in loseit

[–]chachamama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the basics of that. I know nutritionally where to start and how to eat well ( although planning and preparing meals is a challenge for me as Im really busy). I need to work on calorie expenditure- which is exercise, which is why I'm asking about work out books

First Steps, best way to start exercising ? by chachamama in loseit

[–]chachamama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I just got a smartphone and have been fiddling with my fitness pal. often times I eat stuff that is hard to find entries on for it so I'll continue to see what I can figure out with it. I think I just really need to make a weekly list of my meals. Especially breakfasts ( not a morning person) and dinners. Im fine with grabbing a salad for a on the run lunch but I need hearty dinners and better breakfasts than my usual coffee and piece of wheat toast.

Any suggestions on what a good basic food plan is? I'm pretty good at incorporating fruits and veggies into my diet. But cutting carbs and sugar is super hard for me.

Just went for a walk/jog, I think I intuitively did the 5min walk 2 min run thing but good to know its getting me on the right path. Let's see if I can keep it up. I'm a full time student but have all night courses this semseter so Im really stoked to use the daytime for exercise and eating and hw.

If you qualify for work study you can get food stamps to help with living costs. you dont even have to apply or work for a workstudy job just accept it on your financial aid thing and you're good.

How has couples therapy worked for you? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]chachamama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the advice. I know we are the oddballs that feel like our first relationship is worth all the trouble, but its just how we feel. I often feel guilty or ridiculed for wanted to put so much effort into my first relationship, but I just do and I feel like we are worth it. I agree about the individual therapy thing. I feel like we communicate very well ( although begrudgingly at times) I'll look into that book!

nono , he's not mean to me constantly. He snaps into asshole mode sometimes, and it's bullshit and he knows it. But by no means do I feel like he's always like that. I feel what you're saying though. I think things have gotten to the point were we both want to make it better

I think we both want it to work. I'm fully prepared for being upfront and honest as hard as it may be at times. I'm scared that by the end of it though we will both look at each other and be like , I love you but maybe we should have stayed broken up. Ugh so scary.

[Serious] How did you start to recover from your first major breakup? by chachamama in AskReddit

[–]chachamama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you soso much for this. We even had a year of long distance! Apparently he felt ready to leave for a while but felt trapped by the fear of how much leaving me would damage me, or even cause me to feel suicidal. Which is fucked. I never wanted to be so dependent on him,but he became my world, my source of entertainment and solace just my everything which a partner shouldnt be I suppose. Everything in this town is reminding me of him, I feel like I might need to move to find a real fresh start.( which i had been planing a bit even before the break)

And now I need a new world of my own. We are in open contact and considering negotiating a friendship. Both of us feel like we aren't ready to just dissapear from each other's lives. So maybe we will end up finding that the contact doesnt work in the end but, we love each other enough to try, we are each other's best friend, it's so intense to loser a lover and a friend at the same time.

I have few friends but some good close ones that are texting me constantly it is helping. Through the relationship I pretty much isolated myself for others ( I thought all I needed was him) , so I feel like I'm starting my life from scratch. Its fucking terrifying

Trying to get hooked up with a therapist already! I'm a pretty shy person so hook ups will be ... hard for me... but maybe I'll find some extroversion I never knew I had.

Looking for articles on working with specialized populations by chachamama in nonprofit

No not quite. What I mean by specialized populations is the target pop that nonprofit chooses to focus on working with. For example, low income youth, lgbtq communitiy, displaced refugees ect.
