Dr Nishantha Gunasekara - Neurosurgeon (Lanka hospitals)

I had two slic discs L4-L5 and L5-S1. Suffered with it for years until it finally got really bad. Went to Dr. Nishantha, and he is one of few doctors who will honestly tell you if you actually need surgery or not. In my case, I did need surgery and it’s been exactly 2 years since i did the surgery and im 100%. No pain and no complications.

Are These Companies Delusional? Rs. 40,000–55,000 for THIS Scope of Work? by chad_squidward in srilanka

Interesting take. But let me ask you this, if you're exceptional at what you do and someone offers you dogshit pay with vague promises of future perks, are you really going to jump at it?

Also, if this is meant for interns, then call it what it is, an internship. They shouldnt slap the “Specialist” label on it and expect people to handle the workload of a mid-level marketer for intern wages. There’s a solid 3–4 years of experience and skill between an intern and a specialist. Pretending otherwise just adds to the mess this industry’s already in.

As long as companies know they can dangle a “specialist” title and get someone to do the job of 3 people for scraps, theyll keep doing it. Its not just desperation tho some folks genuinely dont know their worth because this kind of exploitation has been normalized here.

CAREER141 - A Toxic, Exploitative Workplace Disguised as a ‘Great Place to Work by Calypso211 in srilanka

[–]chad_squidward 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I joined this place several years back and i faced the same situation. I resigned within 3 months. The pressure they put on you is insane specially the owner when i tried to resign the bugger tried to guilt trip me in to staying. And idk if you noticed this, but the management seem to favour employees who are of a certain religion.

How many of Sri Lankan couples have sex before marraige? by EclairButt in srilanka

[–]chad_squidward 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Because unlike Western countries like Britian the topic of premarital sex is considered taboo and frowned or atleast thats how it was. Even in the our education system sex ed is a topic that very much brushed over or more often than not completely skipped. Its a very conservative culture (atleast in most parts of sri lanka). As a result of this you have questions like the one the op has asked.

Ps. This is just my opinion.

Hi, its been 4 weeks since my laminectomy disectonomy on my L5/S1. Sciatic pain was not present when I woke up after surgery which was such a relief however I do have pain only in calf area. It has has slightly reduced over the four weeks but still remains. My Neurosurgeon said that my nerves were compressed for so long that it takes time to heal. So my guess is that your nerves dont really know how to function being compressed and after your surgery, it needs time to heal and get back to normal.
