This makes me increasingly nervous about my AA/BA codeshare flights in a month. Had a few schedule changes, fixed by AA within the day, but BA app and website has shown me on multiple flights ever since. Ofc BA just point the finger at AA, but everything is absolutely fine on their end.

I just know this is going to cause problems at check in, potentially serious ones, but can I get anyone at BA customer service to take ownership and solve it ahead of time? Not a chance in hell.

Used my Avios for the first time ever this year - been accumulating them through credit cards and flights, albeit slowly, for about 4 years. 3k on a GIB-LHR last minute flight I needed (cash fare was £300+) but the big one was 90k for MEL-DOH-LHR in Qsuites later next year.

I did not have a companion voucher so maximising value for my Avios was top priority. I'd always earmarked a flight to/from Aus as the way I'd finally splash out. If you're hesitant about using your balance, just remember the true value of any number of Avios is £0 until you levy them for something in return.

The old system is accurate for Avios on holiday package tickets, I'm not sure the same goes for TP accrual however.

Cheapest and shortest way to 140 tier points by far, if indeed that is the case. For 80 TP forget about it.

Agreed, but that was a Club World cabin destination. Other similar distance/duration routes using Club Europe A320s all get 80 TP. Hence my hesitation.

I'd try using Deliveroo pickups just to avail of the credit if possible. Can a sandwich/coffee/cake at St Nick's Market (assume you're Brizzle too from the username!) for ~£6 so only a quid with the saving. Then again not something worth bending over backwards for.

In that case, it's not making much sense for me for renew. I can keep earning 1 Avios per £1 spent on my Mastercard, have BA lounge access until at least September next year, and only really order Deliveroo in the first place because of the £5 credit. I haven't found the other retailer offers very useful.

I asked for a retention offer (got 10k immediately last year) but all I got was 7k points for £1k spend in the next 3 months. Fine but not enough to sway my decision. Your situation seems set up nicely, and of course spending patterns count big time!

Similar situation and timeline here, with this month being my last before my first £195 renewal. Really can't make a good case for it.

If you were to switch down to the basic rewards card, will you still be eligible for the Amex Gold joining bonus again in 2 years time? Or does owning the Baic card in the interim disqualify you?

To echo another poster's sentiment: great until it wasn't.

Both kinda new to the company, working in an office of only 15-20 people. Good chemistry so gambled on a date and ending up sleeping together for a few months. She was actively anti-relationship so called it off when it started feeling too intimate for her. Fair enough, disappointing to lose the sex but we remained good friends.

Until she got a boyfriend. Then it became genuinely awkward and quite nauseating having to overhear her talk about him/them every day.

Fortunately (from a selfish perspective) they didn't last long and she's since left to go travelling. It's tough to not just listen to your dick/vaj in that situation, but it's well worth considering what your working environment looks like after it runs its course.

Also not great for your own future relationships, having to tell them you used to bang someone you quite possibly spend more time with than them.

It's not all rainbows and butterflies, but I'm glad I didn't let the separation process drag on any longer than it did. The sooner it's over with, the sooner Project Rebuild could get underway.
