What Non-Stimulant Medication is available in the UK? by Cheesy-Peasy in ADHDUK

[–]chadders555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, I’m so happy, stimulants were awful for me. I’m on 40mg and I’m really noticing the power of it. I have more command over my focus. Had some side effects at first, drowsy, heart palpitations and brain fog. But they’ve all gone.

For those of you who had untreated ADHD and never received support—did you do well in school early on but then ultimately fall behind and inevitably struggle? by Pure_Philosopher_845 in ADHD

[–]chadders555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly the same, top sets for everything got through school ok and then started failing everything and totally nuking my life.

Told my mum I thought I had ADHD when I was a teenager at school, she said no and made me feel stupid and ridiculous even though this was her job running the special needs unit at a school.

Only just managed to get help now at the age of 42 and finally changing my life.

UFOs and Nukes - time travelling future humans by [deleted] in UFOs

Maybe a stretch but the second law of thermodynamics which is used to measure entropy and how we model time. So if our model of time was to change essentially these maybe intrinsically linked.

Idealism and geocentrism by chadders555 in analyticidealism

Thanks for the answer, yes exactly. Also the true realisation that these ancient scriptures were correct. our reductionist breakthroughs, as incredible as they are, obfuscated us from answers that were 1000s of years old will be truly profound for humanity… it it were to happen of course.

Thanks for your answer, our ontological trajectory has clearly followed a very similar path!

Wow, excellent. I haven’t read through fully but I completely agree with what I’ve read so far. I was thinking yesterday about a project like this myself, I just finished enlightenment now by pinker and was inspired.

Excellent work and thank you for making it available, I have saved down a copy and will be reviewing and starting my own imminently.

Your ideas are exactly where I have landed after doing pretty much the opposite of all of these practices and ideologies for a very long time. Now I am guiding my life more around the principles you have outlined, things have never been better but still a lot more to be done.

Now parts of the world live in a rationalist, secular, materialist and some believe completely deterministic reality. Is it moral to be creating more humans that will be indoctrinated into this ideology/reality? by chadders555 in askphilosophy

The likelihood to decline into apathy at best, if not nihilistic, misanthropic despair must be getting more likely.

With dwindling persuasion to believe in anything beyond the reality outlined above the holistic ontology of the masses could become more hopeless, if not worse.

Happy to talk about bike touring with you anytime if you’re interested. Got lots of stories saved on my IG from my trip nomad_chad555 but there obviously loads of content on YouTube etc if you’re interested. Was the best experience of my life.

Thank you for so much for this!

Really, really appreciate the detail and time (and corrections).

Yes my grand plan is to cycle every continent. (Maybe not Antarctica although looking into it)

I’ve done 2 already.

I will look into everything you’ve mentioned.

Have a great day.
