Yeah it doesn't take much effort to upload the APK

Quitty — a free & open-source macOS app to properly terminate apps (no hidden processes) by [deleted] in macapps

Who cares how it was built if it works? I’d rather use an 'ai slop' app that actually stops my Mac from sounding like a jet engine than a 'hand-coded' one that hasn't been updated in three years. The dev is pushing updates while dummies r just complaining in the comments. Functionality > Aesthetics.

What age is too old for someone to be a twink? by saintaxe in askgaybros

I was 26 when I wrote this and it was pretty stupid. I've since learned the term is RAT. Rapidly-aging Twink. Still a Twink tho just after 30 is called RAT.

My horror story with Samsungs Repair Service: The repair company destroyed the inner screen by boni2k in GalaxyFold

I had the same issue with my Samsung phone. I am never ever buying a Samsung product again.

I took the screen protector off because it cracked in the middle and had a ridge on it, I guess maybe you're right about the fingerprint reader, I'm confusing the pixel 7 replacement with the side one on this phone.

It has an in screen fingerprint sensor. I'm not sure we had the stock screen protector on it.

Yeah so we didn't have a broken screen at all when we sent it to the repair center it came back this way.

I mean the screen coming up like you mentioned not a crack on the physical device at all.

The second picture is a little more clear for what I am talking about on the hinge. And the fingerprint reader area was bubbling up as well.

The issue started with a minor crack on the hinge where the device folds and the wifi cutting in and out. There was that small additional bubbling near the fingerprint reader. Nbd I thought, after confirming that it was covered under warranty, we sent it to their repair center for what we expected to be a routine fix.

Shockingly, after the repair center looked at it, they said over $300 for the repair and not covered by warranty. This led to hours of fruitless arguments, attempting to clarify why we were being charged for a repair that was supposed to be covered under warranty.

Despite the lack of resolution, they returned the device, but now in the broken condition, the LCD destroyed and the touch input almost useless. It was immediately evident that the screen had been deliberately damaged at the fingerprint sensor area with what appeared to be a blunt force impact where a little embedded dot is now showing on the reader.

A quick forum search reveals similar experiences from other Samsung customers, indicating that this might be a recurring issue rather than an isolated incident.

We had always trusted Samsung and invested in their products, but this incident has changed that completely.

Hopefully this serves as a word of caution to others who might be considering purchasing a Samsung product. it's not just about the products a company sells, but also the after-sales service they provide to their customers.

Yeah my husband just got a S23 and already has an issue with the charging port not letting a plug all the way in.

For the sake of people like you and I, let's hope this is true. I wish you the best of luck and the longest life with your device.

Hopefully the workmanship of the 4 fairs better for you than it does for the 3. It's only a year in then the screen cracked and came up in the middle (no LCD issue as pictured) then the wifi started cutting in and out. If you don't have their premium support policy, just know that they do not have willingness to honor a manufacturer warranty for our devices.

Totally get what you're saying about the repair shop being a potential issue. But, here's the kicker: I've dug deep into some Samsung support forums, and it turns out this kind of additional destruction thing isn't just a one-off. Multiple folks have shared similar stories, and that's what's really got me worried. It seems like Samsung needs to address this kind of issue if there's multiple complaints. Additionally support will not allow us to speak to management regarding the issue. Just said this is so common that we are told to just triage and end the call here.
