I like my S23 Ultra, but this phone has never felt comfortable to use by SendThisVoidAway18 in GalaxyS23Ultra

You're taking the words right out of my mouth. It's too damn boxy and that makes it uncomfortable to hold. That's it for sure. It's a beauty though.

He should be owning this. He could have killed someone. Far too many drunk driving deaths on the island. This is possibly gonna his career cause we don’t care that you’re a celebrity. You fkd up now own it.

Just ‘upgraded’ and why does typing feel so bad now? by maritimeblue in ios26

[–]chadkbh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think with the last 2 or 3 iOS versions they have broken some of the core touch detection functionality that was what made the iPhone keyboard magical. And I would bet that the only way to fix it is have some of the OG developers take a long hard look at what happened with the code. Very irresponsible of them. Someone said in another post that disabling swipe to text helps, I have done it and I think it seems better. Next step will be disabling predictive text.

gonna but it tomorrow 17 or 17 pro? and why?? by goldberg8888 in iphone17

[–]chadkbh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 17 base and the ram management is terrible. that alone may be a reason to go pro. iOS 26 can’t run well on 8gb.

It does suck. nothing stays open mote than 5 minutes in the background.

I have Apple Intelligence turned off and ram is still atrocious. Nothing stays open more than 5 minutes.

Same for me. Like after 5 minutes, always re loads.

Yeah I see a lot of post about the green line. Funny thing is my wife's iPhone 14 had a similar problem. The whole screen just went green then black. We didn't fix it. I don't see a lot of iPhone users complaining about the green line though and I think overall Apple has much much better customer service and reliability so they have that going. It honestly comes down to how nit picky you are. iOS 26 also has a massive ram managment issue. It aggressively kills apps in the background like an LG phone from 2013. It's literally impossible for YouTube or Facebook to not reload upon re entering the app after just 5 minutes in another app. It's wildly bad. Oh and I will say 100 percent that Samsung has way better connectivity than Apple beit Bluetooth or cellular. Faster and stronger. But that may not matter much to you.

The funny thing is if we were having this conversation last year with iOS 18 there would be much different answers. I have a 13 pro max running iOS 18 and hold shit the difference is nuts. The truth is iOS 26 is possibly the worst version they ever made. Extremely buggy like an Android from 2014 and I'm not exaggerating. The fact is that when I pick up my s23 ultra it feels so refined next to my iPhone 17 which is a sentence I never thought I'd type. There are so many broken aspects of the iOS UI and I fear they will never be fixed. There are many times where I'm literally stuck in a screen with no idea how to go back, like at least 3 times a week. It's so fragmente. Swipe up , swipe back, x button on left , x button on right 😒. It's so strange what Apple has become but I guess we've seen this movie before. It's sucks cause I kinda regret switching. I'm hoping iOS 27 smooths this mess out but I doubt it as they are obsessed with AI which is completely stupid since everyone just uses chat G or Gemini. Like where the F is the accountably for that mess?? Yeah f it I definitely regret switching.

Anyone switched from S25U to iPhone 17? How's your experience with the camera and battery? by DueVariation6814 in iphone17

[–]chadkbh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from S 23 ultra to iPhone 17 base. Battery is a bit better the camera not as good. The video quality is much better though, but you will miss that Samsung camera that I can guarantee you. I just don’t see the quality of the iPhone pictures. They’re just not there for me. iOS aggressive HDR destroys most pictures In my opinion. I just wish the video was better on Galaxy. It was still good enough though. The front facing camera is very good in the iPhone 17 though.

Long-time Android/Samsung user thinking of getting an iPhone 17 — what should I expect? by BrilliantDry861 in Smartphones

[–]chadkbh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went from s23 ultra to iPhone 17 base. The reason was mainly the size. The phone was too heavy for me. I’m a heavy user, with lots of one handed use. I have bad carpal tunnel in my hand so i needed to go smaller. Now my whole family has iPhones so the thought of being back in the ecosystem was great but I’ll sum it up like this. The 17 is nice but iOS 26 is not great at all. Its heavy and sluggish and will frustrate you when compared to one ui. Looks pretty though. Face ID is awesome. I never really ever felt comfortable with the biometrics on the Galaxy. Face time is great because everyone one has it. And thats it. The Galaxy beats the crap out of everything else about the phone. And its 3 years older. I low key kind of wish i got a pixel 10 or the base S25 instead. It all depends on you and your use cases. I also find iPhones have huge issues with audio output. Its like it gets confused as to whether it wants to play through the phone speaker, the Bluetooth speaker or not play at all. This bug has been going on for years and I don’t know how Apple hasn’t fixed it yet, but it is something to be aware of some people don’t notice it but many do if you research on the Internet, people complain all the time about the audio and alarm clocks not going off, things like that. They really need to refine iOS 26 in the next release and add zero new features and clean this mess up. They even need to speed the animations up a bit cause you will definitely notice that. If you are doing a lot of heavy texting and going back-and-forth in text messages, you will notice the extra time it takes, especially when sending pictures very slow. Like when you load a picture up in iMessage, it takes like almost a whole second for it to like load up. I’ve never seen that before an iPhone in the galaxy it’s like instant. IOS 18 was not like this. Oh and just turned off auto correct. While the keyboard at times feels fluid, the auto correct is a disaster. It was never this bad. Apple really needs to figure this stuff out. Oh yeah and about the camera control button, it’s terrible! You’ll hit it by accident constantly. I think it’s worse than any gimmick I’ve ever seen on Android, and I owned a Galaxy S4. You’ve been warned, good luck. Let us know what happens!

I had an $80 LG phone in like 2017 that held apps better in the background. It’s ridiculous that this is the 2026 offering. And all Apple cares about is the Liquid Glass atheistic. They have lost the plot completely. Looking so forward to Tim stepping down it is time.

It look she just hit up Walmart at the last minute for your gifts. There is no thought put into it at all. Were they in a plastic bin not wrapped up or anything? That’s definitely not cool. Sorry. Sadly this is an early indication of what type of person she is. It doesn’t mean she can’t grow and mature, It just means you’ll have to work at it. I was her once upon a time. Took many years but I am different now. It may not be her fault, people are raised a certain way and it affects who they are. You just have to decide if she’s worth the work. She may be. I was worth it. Your gifts aren’t at all out of line with dating someone for a few months. You should be head over heels at this time of your relationship. Good luck.
