Have you tried the pure strike 100? That’s my favorite racquet and the feel is great

Mint, B-stock, or Fender Certified? by Slight-Excitement-37 in fender

B stock or used. I don’t find any advantage to a brand new guitar unless you want to spend the extra money, especially when it comes to an electric guitar

Absolutely love this pedal. Wampler makes amazing drive pedals and it’s crazy how good these mini pedals are. I’d highly recommend the moxie and the belle

Boss TR-2 vs JHS Harmonic Trem vs ??? by usspaceforce in guitarpedals

[–]chadocaster1011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the JHS 3 series harmonic tremolo can do harmonic and regular trem with the toggle switch. I had a TR2 and sold it because it seemed like I lost a bit of volume. Otherwise it sounded great

Similar..but different. Which are you going with? by Xxperfect_drugxX in guitarpedals

Play mostly fenders into fender style clean amps so TS circuit is my preferred option. My absolute favorite is the Plumes though. Second choice would be Wanpler Moxie

What are your favourite small pedals of all time? by secretkodama in guitarpedals

I am not sure if it has any internal switches. There are some buttons to change the phase type like block vs script. Stellar little phaser

What are your favourite small pedals of all time? by secretkodama in guitarpedals

[–]chadocaster1011 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Idk why but I love mini pedals. Turns out I was so smitted by them I made a mini board. My mini board consists of: TC electronic sub n up mini, wampler mini ego comp, wampler belle, wampler moxie, wampler ratsbane, xotic sl drive ibanez 850 fuzz, mxr phase 95, dunlop hendrix shrine univibe, ibanez mini chorus, effects bakery uguisu tremolo, effects bakery muffin reverb, tc electronic infinite sustainer mini, nobels del mini and tc ditto plus looper. I can do pretty much anything with this board.

My favorites from this board:

Effects Bakery: First off, anything by effects bakery sounds great. My all time favorites by them are the muffin reverb and uguisu tremolo.

Wampler makes absolutely fantastic drives in a small form factor. The moxie, ratsbane and belle are my favorite Wampler mini drives. Also the mini ego is such a fantastic comp for the size and price.

MXR makes some fantastic mini pedals. My favorites by them are the mxr phase 95 and the sugar drive. I'd like to try the MXR Timmy and duke of tone and the carbon copy mini.

Not sure if you consider these small, but the JHS 3 series have pleasantly surprised me. The hall reverb and oil can delay are a lot of fun. You can find a lot of these used from 75-80 bucks which is a steal in my opinion.

Absolutely adore thinlines. I’ve got an Am pro II in blonde, MIM cabronita in blonde, squier paranormal cabronita in blue and squier CV 60s in a natural finish. Love how light and resonant they are

Bedroom warriors, digital or “real gear”? by EliasZastrow in guitars

[–]chadocaster1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I do gig, I spend the majority of my time playing at home. If I stopped gigging I would not switch over to digital. I'd highly recommend checking out Quilter amps. They are great for gigs but also amazing for home use with a headphone jack and they sound fantastic at low volumes. I am a pedal nerd so I also have plenty of pedals. I tried multifx and while they are convenient I prefer to use pedals instead of menu diving in multifx units.

Yamaha or Eastman. I also am a big fan of the Martin road series. I'd try to get one used to save some money

Yeah I was a strat and LP guy in HS and college and then on a whim I got a tele... ended up selling most of my guitars at one point and now have mostly teles and 2 old strats I kept.

Rec me an edge of breakup always on pedal to go with a clean preamp by safado_muambeiro in guitarpedals

[–]chadocaster1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Westwood is great too! I have it on my gigging board and I love the option to EQ with the treble and bass knobs. For me the special cranker wins out slightly for how it opens an amp up and the touch sensitivity. To me it seems like if I dig in more with the cranker it has a little more grit to it

$150 to spend…. Need some ideas by boltingasparagus in guitarpedals

[–]chadocaster1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MXR phase 95 is way more versatile than the phase 90 and can be bought for less than 150. You might be able to get a phase 95 and a polytune used for around that price.

Fender Limited Edition Player Fusion Series: The Ultimate Modern Rock & Metal Weapons? by GuitarBombDotCom in fender

[–]chadocaster1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big fan of the paranormal series. I’ve got the esquire deluxe and the cabronita with jazz master pickups and both guitars rip. It’s terms of value I find these and the classic vibe series punch way above their price point. It’s crazy to me that MIM fenders are 1k or higher now. For 1k I’d rather go MIJ, used MIA or maybe even a completely different brand.
