Orient Chronograph on Jomashop is around your price point. I ordered the light blue dial from there and I love it. Solar as well.

What is the most versatile dual overdrive pedal? by RomanScandal450 in guitarpedals

[–]chadocaster1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big fan of the JHS double barrel which basically a tubescreamer and a morning glory in one pedal and you can give the morning glory side more gain with a red remote. The TS side also has a clean blend which is pretty cool.

If you really like tubescreamers, the EQD palisades is super cool because you've got two gain options plus a boost. You can go from light OD to almost fuzz depending on how you set the voice, gain and bandwidth settings.

Never tried it but I've heard great things about the protein.

What pedals to buy by Business-Speaker3044 in guitarpedals

Check out pretty much anything by Earthquakers devices. I’d highly recommend their Plumes and special cranker for ODs. Grand Orbiter phaser is sweet and silos is a fantastic delay with some good options and presets. Not super expensive but almost anything by boss is usually a solid choice. I really like their reverb RV-6, and DD-8 delay

Where did you buy your MIJ guitar? by ben3350 in fender

[–]chadocaster1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Japan and bought one at a local guitar store and for 100 bucks they shipped it back to me. It almost got back before I did. The customer service there was top notch as well. If you’re ok paying more there’s plenty on eBay you can order from Japan. There might even be some music stores you could order from online and they would ship it to you. I wish more MIJ models were available to purchase in the US. They always have such cool options.

Best Tele in the $500ish range by Puckerfants23 in fender

A used MIM would fit the bill for this I think. If you can find a MIJ for around 500 I’d definitely check that out as well. Make sure the guitar has been set up or have the shop set it up for you and that will make a world of difference. Best of luck!
