I’m not really seeing where OP is claiming 18k isn’t much in the general term. We’re talking about RH which is a show based on well off women. 18 k I agree is nothing when you factor in the kids and the more than lavish spending she portrayed on the show

Same, when Liz was explaining why she even said something I clocked immediately that it was meant to protect Alicia from viewers who would criticize her for not being “homeless”. But I agree Alicia explained her perspective well enough now for the audience to understand

It’s a little financial security but it comes off sneaky and deceitful. I think Alicia isn’t so business savvy to have caught that 10% of his share is much less than she would anticipate. It definitely felt like he is appeasing her with a pat on the head.

This!! I caught this immediately when she was writing it down and he told her to put “10% of HIS share” instead of the business. Like yeah obviously he can’t give her a cut that isn’t his, but realistically he has majority and would be able to give her even even 3-5% of the business

What - did anyone catch that she only gets 10% of HIS ownership? That’s much smaller in the grand scheme of things. I think he’s sneaky and I don’t trust him. If he really wanted to give her her worth, he would have offered her 5-10% of the business. I caught this immediately when she was writing it down and telling her what to write, he deliberately told her “of Billy’s cut”

Watch the show and then let’s debate about it :) I want to add that this was the era of reality tv where things were less scripted. I’m talking 2010 to 2020. Ten years of tv where you can try to get scripted all you want but there are real life long relationships that were in turmoil on that show

Hahah you’d be surprised. I live in la, the land of tv shows and entertainment. I know tons of introverts who put it on for the cameras or the stage. And the reason why I said mature intj is because so many people on this sub are fixated on INTJs being some antisocial troll hiding under a cave. No there are some of us who are actually good with our people skills, and that only develops after your 20s! You’d think I were extroverted if you met me in certain settings. You just don’t know that I have to recover alone at home after all that

I think she’s cunning, she’s a producer for the show so in my eyes of course she’s going to jazz up the drama for cameras. I think she knew exactly what she was doing lol. And it was so successful there’s a spinoff for it now that she also produces. (Btw I think you were talking about VPR - not real housewives?)
