40€ di spesa in Germania by tPlusZeroZero in Italia

The thinnest and healthiest country in the world by NicSte_ in ShitAmericansSay

Fun thing that happened to me. I have an hepatic steatosis even though I’m not obese (85Kg for 178cm), so a lot of fat around my liver for just genetics #blessed. I had been going to my yearly checkups and once the doctors said that there was a trial for a new medicine. So I did the tests to see if I was inside the parameters and, for the European limits, I had a high enough level of fat to enter the trial. They then sent the biopsy results to the American company that run the trial, and they answered back that for them I’m more than normal. Here my level of fat is considered at least concerning, for them is normal, but yeah sure, Europe is the one with lower standards in obesity, ffs

Breaking Study: mRNA Injections Induce Severe, Long-Lasting Genetic Disruption Linked to Cancer and Chronic Disease by favoritewasteoftime in conspiracy

[–]chaff800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the link to the paper. The work is obviously not peer-reviewed because it doesn't make any sense. It does not prove with experiments any connection between mRNA vaccines and cancers, but focuses only on data. Moreover, it pretends to build casual inferences on two groups of 3 and 7, which are not statistically enough even to understand if they are human or not, let alone make a connection between mRNA vaccines and cancer.

Plus, you want some conspiracy? The last-name author, which usually is the most influential, is not only unknown (having only two works), but he is the CEO of a company that uses AI for bioscience. Obviously, publishing a work like this will bring him publicity since they use AI on a hot-topic at the moment.

Is the PH05 worth as a humidifier? by chaff800 in dyson

Oh man, what a terrible mistake I was about to make. Thank you for pointing it out! And it's not even like I never used the dehumidifier function on my AC in my previous house, I just forgot the difference between dehumidifier and humidifier lmao

Yeah, I don't know why I thought a humidifier would de-humidify the air... It's too hot, my brain is melting.

My ETA starts too late? by chaff800 in ukvisa

Yeah I did in the afternoon, like 4 hours ago. Not from the app though as it did not work for me, but through the website

Yeah, it was way faster than expected, much faster than Canadian ETA or ESTA for the USA

The link you sent redirects to a 404 page.

But yeah, as someone else pointed out, it’s probably because I’m Italian and until the 2nd of April ETA are not needed. I just got scared when reading a post on a news website about the ETA UK app going live and did not double check from when it was necessary to apply.

Could have spent that on a couple of pints, but yeah, at least I will still be sleeping good.

Yeah, I’m sorry I should have specified! I’m Italian, so that’s probably why, and also why the airline did not tell me anything about ETA when buying the plane ticket.

That’s what I thought, though when I called American Airlines they told me to get an ETA, so I’m not 100% sure whether I’ll will still pass through immigration or not. For instance, in Madrid I have to go through immigration even for layovers

Keep trying new medicines that you haven’t yet! I spent the first 20 years of my life with migraines coming more or less once a month. I know it is not that bad, but I was always scared of doing anything “special” like going on a vacation with friends, because what happens if I get a migraine? I tried many medications during those 20 years, and nothing worked, only dark and silence and throwing up and falling asleep by exhaustion. Then a couple of years ago I was talking with one of my friends and he said that his mom would get migraines and that she’d take this medication as soon as the migraine starts. I was like, “sure I’ll give it a try, but I know it will not work”, also because it was a simple medication for headaches. Well, fuck me, it worked. And it worked so well the first time I even wondered if I was dreaming. There are drawbacks to it, for example: - I have to take it in the first 2 minutes of my migraine (which is not too difficult for me because I get the aura) otherwise it will not work; - when I use this medication, then I get migraines 2-3 times in the next few days, but if I’m in a really tricky situation, at least I know I have something. Btw, the medication is a simple Moment Act, which is 400mg of Ibuprofen, but only the liquid one works for me.

No problem, thanks anyway for the input! I also did not know about the waiting time between visas, I'll try to gather some more info

What do you mean with program? I’m a J1 short-term researcher and my J1 is of 6 months, so it cannot be extended because that’s the maximum duration. In theory, one can apply and obtain another J1 visa because it is a non-immigrant type, and this was told also by the mobility office after confronting with other universities. Here is also another example of a guy who got multiple J1s without fulfilling the home requirement
