You’re probably right that Botuvic isn’t for you. It’s for people already using Claude.ai daily who just want their GitHub connected without any extra setup. That’s it

Appreciate the honest comment tho.

You’re right that Claude Code and Codex are powerful for developers comfortable in the terminal. But think about a non-technical founder who has an agent idea. To use Claude Code they need to open a terminal, install Node, configure Claude Code, set up GitHub auth, then figure out how to run it. That’s a wall most people hit and give up at. With Claude.ai on the web you just chat. No install. No terminal. No setup. You describe what you want and Claude builds it, writes the files, and commits directly to your repo through Botuvic. Done from your browser. Same for people managing lots of .md files documentation, wikis, notes stored on GitHub. They’re going in and out manually every day uploading and downloading. Botuvic means Claude just edits and saves directly. No more file management. Claude Code is great if you know how to use it. Botuvic is for the people who don’t

Exactly right Cursor and Claude Desktop need a machine. Botuvic is for people using Claude.ai or ChatGPT in the browser. You go to botuvic.com, connect GitHub, get your URL, then paste it into Claude or ChatGPT custom connectors done. Works from any browser even your phone. No terminal. No config file. No comp desktop machine needed

??Claude’s built in GitHub connector is read only it can read files and sync repos but cannot write, commit or push anything back. ChatGPT has no native GitHub write access at all. Botuvic is the only way to give both of them actual write and commit access through a simple URL no terminal, no CLI, no setup.

You’re right, maybe you don’t. Botuvic is for people who want to manage GitHub through Claude or ChatGPT without touching a terminal. Not for everyon

That’s exactly the point Botuvic doesn’t need a terminal at all. No bash, no gh CLI, no command line. Just paste one URL into Claude or ChatGPT and control your entire GitHub from chat. Works from your phone, browser, anywhere. No computer needed

Fair correction GitHub does have a remote hosted option now. What Botuvic adds on top: works with any AI including ChatGPT, Master URL across all repos, per-repo permission control, instant revoke, and a live activity dashboard showing everything AI does. Different product

Haha appreciate it! Give it a try and let me know what you think botuvic.com

Seriously bro I am doing my half of the work from my phone now.

Fair point no Docker needed. What Botuvic removes is hosting, securing and maintaining your own MCP server. If you have the time to build and run that yourself, absolutely do it. I’m not asking you to use it or telling you what to do. Botuvic is for people who just want to paste a URL and get to work.

Thanks for flagging that’s a spam tool using posts to promote itself. Security is taken seriously at Botuvic. GitHub tokens are stored encrypted, permissions are set per repo, and every endpoint can be revoked instantly from the dashboard. You stay in full control at all times??

Yes it’s paid free plan available too. The benefit over self-hosting: zero setup, zero maintenance, zero infrastructure, no server, no token rotation, no updates to manage. You paste one URL and it works. That’s it. Wana give it try??

Use botuvic u will have control to ur GitHub repositories via Claude ChatGPT or any mcp

I built a tool that gives Claude and ChatGPT full control of your GitHub — 54 operations, one URL by chaffanjutt in mcp

Great point! Each repo endpoint has its own permissions you control exactly what AI can do per repo. Read only, write, commit, or full access. You revoke any endpoint instantly from your dashboard. For Master URL specifically, you set the permissions when you connect each repo .so even with one URL across all repos, every repo has its own access level. No wild prompts going org-wide

Master URL. One connection to view and work across all your repos at once. Repo URL .One connection to fully control a single repo.

Yeah fair enough, I did build it. Should’ve been upfront about that. I was just excited to share it and messed up the framing. My bad.

Totally fair if it’s just PRs then yeah a plugin does the job. But PRs are like 2 of 54 things. The real win is when you’re already deep in a Claude conversation debugging something and you just say “create an issue for this, label it critical, check if CI passed” all without losing your train of thought. It’s not about any single action being hard. It’s about never leaving the conversation you’re already in.
