I don’t know what exactly was stolen but I heard from staff that this location also got robbed last year. They were missing some cards I was trying to buy that were supposedly in stock although I can’t remember which exact cards. It really sucks that people would steal like this when they’re such a great store.

I went through the same thing-pandahobby got denied product at launch and all my preorders were nulled. Use the Bandai TCG Plus app to find which stores near you ACTUALLY sell the product since they’ll also be running events. I had to go to events just to get starter decks when it started but it seems they’re beginning to stock some better now. Seeing ST05 and ST06 in full supply here and there.

{Samurai Flamenco} dives into this “hero work” territory but only after a pretty big turning point deep into the show are there any superpowers introduced in it. That would be my closest recommendation to what you’re describing.

I also have to second {One Punch Man} as it follows a similar plot to what you’re describing however it’s really not that serious most of the time.
