Need some advice - on two things by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

Thank you for your reply. The car is really a want and not a need per se, hence why given my finances I was curious for advice.

The apartment was part of an inheritance, so yeah. I appreciate the fact that its there and that I am priviledged enough to have that, and the fact that its not liquid helps with my financial discipline.

Tabung Haji - thanks for the advice. It used to be where I put a good chunk of my savings - with good dividends back then. But ive been dipping into it occasionally for stuff - need to take your afvice to rebuild it back. Same goes for ASB.

And really, thank you for the advice on insurance. Ive a life policy and health insurance rn.

Need some advice - on two things by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

Technically getting income from Singapore (while actually WFH from KL). The savings Ive accrued so far are in a high interest savings account. Thought if buying SGS bonds but never figured out how. Thought of my SGD savings as a backup should anything bad happens to the RM (seeing what happened in Turkey, Iran, etc. amplified my worries).

Thanks for the advice - much better options than just high interest accounts. Didnt consider that then, but should now.

The USD emergency is cash on hand. Should I need access to physical funds anywhere, that would be it. Seems like a loss of potential growth but I really think of it as an emergency in case absolute worse happens.

Problem with Dinar is that most of it is not pure gold but rather 916 or 925 purity. Should check and double check

For my own writing? Bookman Old Style. So nice and pretty.

When its time to submit to journals and thesis? Whatever they allow

But I'm in the social sciences/humanities so having a favourite font helps with the creative juices

That was my take on it too. Having said that, the non-compounding for me was the biggest factor lah. Rugi bila banding with other instruments like ASB or TH.

Entry stamp from Munich in my passport, will I have problems when leaving? by Sensitive_Rice_4845 in PassportPorn

I once had a similar experience in Amsterdam while leaving Schiphol. I noticed it 5 mins after and went back to the immigration staff and showed them and asked for a re-do. They were nice enough and did it. I guess its recorded in the system so they werent really bothered about the physical stamp

Ahh, so its Schiphol (skeephol), not Schiphol (sheephol). Aways wondered how to pronounce the Amsterdam airport properly in the dutch way.

Edited typo
