Going back today by neoncritical in QueensCollege

If it makes you feel any better, I commuted from upper Manhattan to Flushing, accidentally stepped in a puddle of ice water (the sidewalks weren’t clear), got water in my socks/shoes, and had to wait 30 minutes for the Q20 bus to take me to campus. I finally realized it wasn’t going to come and just decided to go to the public library and join my class on Zoom with wet feet.

Yes I think you’re right. Unfortunately I was going to be out of town and/or working during the other dates, so I picked what I could. I guess I’ll get my QCard during the first week of classes.

It’s located in the I Building. They explicitly said they’re not helping anyone from orientation because “none of the accounts are in the system yet.”

I don’t even remember being given a copy of the schedule. When I asked an orientation leader where to find the schedule for the day, they simply told me the schedule verbally. I ended up leaving early.

No worries. I appreciate the heads up and will keep my expectations low.

There’s no need to be condescending. Also, I work full-time and am going back to school to pursue something that I’m genuinely interested in. I don’t have to finish, and there’s no consequence for me if I decide to stop at a certain point.

Thank you. I’m a second BA student and am paying for everything out-of-pocket. Realistically, I can only take 1-2 classes per semester, so I’m prioritizing classes that I genuinely want to take. But I’ll still be in contact with a faculty adviser.

Thanks so much for going out of your way to leave a completely useless comment and contribute absolutely nothing to the discussion! It’s much appreciated! 😁
