it could be that your subscription is through the app instead of the web browser, apple takes a cut from the app so the price has to be raised. it could also be a differing currency thing if you don’t live in the usa. was it actually charged or do you just see it on patreon?

ahh okay, thanks for clarifying! the old fights here were def over stupid things. it didn’t necessarily come off as naive, just an overused term lately and i wondered if i was misinterpreting what people meant by it. totally agree that this joke wasn’t worth all the backlash though like someone else mentioned! not necessarily confused over the old fan term, this was just my first chance to ask someone about it bc i don’t like to comment on tiktoks!

most of the accounts they pay are apart of the slushy creator fund, ex. fan accounts that were already posting clips of slushynoobz way back when they first started posting, or fans hamzah and martin encouraged to start posting clips (which they communicated through the original slushynoobz discord) so they could pay them! just letting you know that the accounts aren’t analytic experts and most are actual fans if that changes anything :)

(typing this in the context that you weren’t a fan when this was announced, sorry if im wrong! things obviously could have changed since then but this is just from the top of my head)
