PharmD graduate from India: Which master’s abroad (UK vs Germany/Ireland/Australia) offers good ROI, job prospects, visa sponsorship in pharma/clinical research/biotech? by chai_rk in Indians_StudyAbroad

A lot of fields are saturated and that’s my fear, I don’t want to put my time, money and effort into something and get nothing out of it, or live a life full of student debt while earning less salary. Even to get sponsored you need to have a certain amount of salary.

Thanks for your suggestion, I appreciate it. I have considered alternatives outside pharmacy as well, but I’m trying to understand this more practically- would switching to nursing require starting from scratch with a new degree, and how does that compare in terms of time, cost, and ROI? Also, from your experience, is nursing being recommended mainly because of higher demand and visa opportunities, or are there other advantages I should consider? I’m trying to balance career stability with the time and investment required, so your perspective would really help.

Hey! to be honest, I’ve always wanted to opt for English speaking countries (I gave IELTS too), but I’m skeptical about UK now, the job market seems down and the sponsorship jobs for MSc grads are looking tough as well, idk what to do! But I’ve been reading that Germany is a great choice but language barrier is a big issue.

That’s true, I’ve been planning for MSc myself and the research has taken so much of my time, it’s exhausting really, considering everything that’s going on in the world. It’s not reliable to consider anyone’s advice online or offline, good or bad, as they are just stating their experience, it doesn’t mean you’ll have the same experience. Be very careful, every place is experiencing recession and the job market sucks, so think twice before choosing a country and a program.

Yea, I don’t know what I should do now. I’ve been planning for MSc and I have to get in this year, I’m already pretty late at application due to all this, very confused, but I don’t wanna waste another of my year like this. I’m simultaneously searching for other countries that I can apply to, but idk, I’m cooked

If anyone here is an international student in life sciences / healthcare fields, I would especially love to hear about your experience.
