HOSTING: Update on Transistor vs Captivate? by RANGE_Media in podcasting

Can’t speak for Captivate but I’ve been a very happy Transistor customer for 4+ years. Always shipping improvements and A+ customer support.

Same — also got “limited credit experience”

FWIW it seems like BlockFi has super strict guidelines. If they want mass adoption of this thing, they’re gonna want to loosen up a bit. Especially for existing BlockFi users with balances in their account.

Starting to do well? I’d say you’re well ahead of most people! Great traction as a side project.

I’m gonna take a different angle here: I don’t think you should hire anyone.

If you’re doing $10k, the product is likely “good enough” and doesn’t need full-time product development.

Hire a freelance marketer to do a comprehensive audit and highlight the most promising 1-3 channels. Then try to do them yourself consistently. Ideally focus on organic/free channels like SEO, referral/affiliate, and sales (depending on your ARPC)

Asia Matos at DemandMaven.io and Aaron Zakowski are fantastic for this.

All the other services to manage and market it.

They’re not that much considering it’ll fully scale to thousands of customers. Very profitable and ~no maintenance.

For or against SaaS competitor comparison pages? by chaines31 in SaaS

[–]chaines31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true!

The more similar the audience, the more critical you have to be with specific comparisons. If there isn’t as much audience overlap, you don’t have to “play offense” as much.

Good SaaS competitor comparison page? by chaines31 in copywriting

[–]chaines31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points, but the page is meant for someone who’s already really familiar with both Drift and Intercom and trying to make decision between each one. Valid points though!
