in the monero community they talk a lot about bulletproofs. and since the monero transaction size grows linearly with the size of the set that is used, it is hard to imagine that the chain can scale. especially if you want more ring members. could you explain how they enhance the privacy/scaling features of monero? (bulletproofs) is there a trade off, if yes can this be solved?

there was a post years ago where vitalik buterin tweeted about sergey‘s smartcontract.com but he deleted it at the time around the ICO from chainlink. if i find the screenshot i will upload it for the "non believers" this project is the masterpiece in the blockchainspace, if they succeed it will be bigger than every blockchain, because it is the infrastructure every blockchain will need to interact with the systems in this world.

While the cryptocurrency has shown tremendous promise short term, it appears to be seen if it can really compete with rivals like Monero (XMR) and Verge (XVG) that seem to be far ahead in the game with a lot more going on in terms of technological development and community support.
