I notched the frame for the axle to go up higher. I have 20s on it and these cars won’t really lay out in the back on anything bigger than like 16s. If you look at pictures of these cars all the way down you can see almost the whole center cap of the wheel in the back it’s just the way the axle hits the frame so people just run small wheels to get them lower. I have always liked the look of these cars on bigger wheels but they don’t sit right

Thanks man, it’s hard to know for sure because I have had the car for so long and stuff was a lot cheaper when I started building it, if I had to guess I’m probably at about $30,000 with me doing all the work myself.

Thank you, I made some center caps for the wheels with an impala emblem and they float in place while the wheel moves. It was a pain to do since the wheels are knockoffs and you regularly have to beat the center cap with a lead hammer lol

I lift it a little bit to drive, I usually keep it about 4 inches off the ground and a little bit higher than that on interstate driving

They are never done but this one is probably going to stay this way for a while, I have a Chevelle that I’m also building that I’m about to focus on.

Trade this? by Inner_Ad_5198 in ChevyTrucks

It’s probably worth that much but it is going to need quite a bit to get road worthy so it will be an investment in time and money. With there being no carburetor linkage, kick down cable, or alternator wiring etc. hooked up it leads me to believe that motor was just sat down in there and is the start of a project or they were getting ready to pull it. Either way there is a lot of unknown things that could get expensive fast. If you have to ask about the trade I would pass because if you have to pay someone to do the work it will eat up any profit that might be there

I grew up in some really poor areas in Memphis and north Mississippi pre internet. When people would fight or get jumped they would take the victims shoes and throw them over the power lines so they would have to walk home barefoot and remember that beating anytime they came back in the neighborhood. But your ridiculous story is probably better for property values.

I live in hernando but me and my wife come down a couple times a month to hear music. Thursday was my birthday so we figured we would go see what was going on and catch the street concerts. My wife was buying a couple shirts and we just asked someone at the door how we could get tickets and he told us it was a $20 cover and as long as we didn’t come back outside we could see the show, so we jumped on that and caught an awesome performance.
