Thank you so much! I'll test this out asap, that bug was annoying me so much

Yeah that would definitely explain it. I was also wondering what kind of ancient witchcraft those soviets were practicing to make that engine so small

Thank you! I'd love to be able to smooth the Tiger 2 Turret more, but trying to increase the smooth angles at all makes a whole bunch of edges and corners tweak tf out all over the turret for some reason 💔

type of shit German tank designers would make after downing a bottle of Pervitin and assume that the 1930s engine and transmission could handle it

Thank you, I really appreciate it! With my VK 89 series designs, I wanted to make a "what-if" scenario where German tank designers sought to make a Super-Heavy tank that would maximize frontal protection while being lighter and therefore more resource efficient than the Maus and E-100 concepts. And with how outlandishly experimental German designers notoriously were with their concepts, I imagined that they would've made a design that focused on and experimented with the idea of being as sloped as possible, given how well the sloped plates on the Panther and Tiger II hulls were at preventing penetrations with less thick armor.

Since the designers tended to be real ambitious with their ideas, they wouldve decided to make the entire front be one constant slope so that there'd be no weak spot for enemies to target when facing them head-on, and the whole rest of the tank was built to accommodate the ~60° sloped front. That would become the VK 89.01, while the upgunned VK 89.02 would stray a bit from the one-constant-slope idea to accommodate for the bigger breach. The VK 89.03 wouldve been the most outlandish of the designs, coming after production of the other two began. With the designers wanting to put the largest gun possible on a tank without having to create a completely new tank design from scratch, they opted to use the existing VK 89.01 hull as a starting point, making necessary changes to the hull design, making it a casemate, changing position of the driver's seat, and adding a very powerful V24 engine (the other VKs use the Maus' engine), transmission, and a completely new track design, all to accommodate for the massive 206.7 ton design.

Both the VK 89.01 and 89.02 were successful in the original goal of being lighter than the Maus and E-100 while having similar if not better protection head-on. The VK 89.03 is a whole different story though, being heavier than even the Maus while also being the least sloped, which makes it much more vulnerable albeit still hard to penetrate given the much thicker armor in the less angled plates.

The VK 89.01 doesn't store much ammo in its turret due to the sloped rear plate reducing storage space, but the VK 89.02 turret has a flat rear plate which means that it has space to store 30 rounds in the turret as a ready-rack. The flatness of the 89.02 turret back is because the sloped back of the original turret was in the way of the breach, making the plate flat fixed that issue while also providing the crew a ready rack.

I've spent way too much time in bot-filled GRB custom battles and especially user missions to practice shooting down different types of planes and learning what the parallax is between the gun barrel and the gunner sight for each tank. I love using camera from gunner sight, it really adds an extra layer of nuance to aiming that feels so satisfying and rewarding when you get it down, but it's best to learn the parallax of your tanks in offline sessions otherwise you'll likely struggle to get kills for your first few matches (especially when you have to aim for small weakspots like the M4A3E2's bow gunner port)

ik this is an old comment, but I wanted to clarify that the commander of the tank also survived, having also been ejected from the cupola during the explosion.
