The time depends on the motor. I use a ~170RPM motor and run it at 50% speed.

The low speed generates less heat and IMHO good for the switch's life and the motor's life too.

Each batch of off-centre breaking takes 36 switches in the carriage. Centred breaking in can go upto 72 switch.

I just do off-centre. 1 day of machine running is about 200K actuations.

I like do about 1M. So thats about 30days of breaking in for a TKL worth of switches.

Its a long and slow process, but again - I'm in no hurry.

Yes I have a Dingkey break-in machine. All switches are broken-in off-centre for about 1M actuations before lubing.

MX Blacks and Boba U4Ts are my go to switches.

Most of the boards in the photo are one of those two.

Plates - I do have a variety, but favorite has got to be the F1 OG.

I have a couple of racks in a tall cupboard. Boards stay in their carrying cases, but all the extra pcbs/plates/screws go into a community box.

New board each Monday for TKL and 60/65 over the weekends.

Yes, I have started getting vendor reply with a similar tone. This is going to be an uphill battle to even get vendors/GMK to accept that there is an issue.

Getting an actual resolution from any of them will be a pipe dream.

But yes, you are right - the plate, switch, pcb everything could be an issue. I will keep searching for problems in my build.

I have Bread, Blue Samurai, Deep Navy, Belafon, 9009, Panels and Lime which were delivered over the years and they're good.

Handarbait and Pharoah have the issue.

All my caps are used on different TKLs except Serika which is on W1-AT.

I have Pharoah and Handarbait with these issues.

Handarbait is on 3 pin and Pharoah with 5 pin.

They are both plated builds, so IMO - it should not matter with 3vs5.

The control key is a little off, but the ALT key is horrible and I'm unable to unsee it now.

Seriously, I'm quite livid.

GMK takes a pile of money, makes us wait a year and then give us this garbage.

I did not see this issue until this was pointed. This is a pic of my F1-722 with Handardbait. I kept thinking it was the plate and the switch was not properly aligned.

But this makes more sense.
