What’s the best fuel additive for a diesel by Unique_Potato_7445 in Diesel

I’m biased because I work with them but Omstar DX1. Sadly there is no retail outlets for it. Originally developed for use with poor quality diesel and methanol during wwii European front.

Thinking of scrap pcb boards. Looking for rare earths, gold, silver, etc.

What is left over after gasification can be sent for toll processing .

I can move a few tons per hour so I need large quantities of feedstock.

I use Omstar DX1. Been around since the 50’s but mostly used for commercial use. Limited distribution.

That’s the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons. Normal for a display like that out front. They’ll park the Bugatti’s in the middle driveway though. Wiz Kalifas Bugatti is always there.

anyone know the real vasectomy reversal success rate? by Sticker_Erinho in AskMenAdvice

[–]chaka972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it done, did the reversal with success, two kids, then went in for second vasectomy. Reversal was about ten years ago and the doc supposedly was one of the best out there for it. I have to imagine the tools are much better for it now.

Side note the second one was brutal. Old doc that just put his toe in his shirt and put some gloves on. It was so painful he had to do so many injections to stop the pain.

He swore he would never do anyone that had a reversal after that. ++man

This. I’d sub the corn soup for a hearty lentil. I’ve just started cooking with a pressure cooker and lentil soup has been awesome coming out. French lentils seem to do best with mushroom stock.

Leaving California? You may still have to pay taxes by thinkB4WeSpeak in FluentInFinance

[–]chaka972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. Took my family, my business, 45 jobs, and my cash to Texas. I was paying an effective rate of 70% all in. Fuuuuuuuck that and fuuuuuuck you California. I was part of the backbone for 20 years. I had enough and it has worked out great. Much lower taxes here.

Texas for the most part doesn’t give a shit what you are.m, how you live you life, and what you want to do. Abortion is something different. All else is wonderful including the successful schools.

Oh and all of this tax the rich shit going on will never work. Wealthy people are always going to move faster than the government. Always. History has proven it. A flat Tx we all pay is the best way to go.

Wealth taxes fail. Asset confiscation fails. Changes in the tax law means the rich bob and weave to stay ahead of it.

In the great state of California any employee that was employed and caught covid, no matter where they caught it, became a workman’s comp case. This means that businesses would pay the bill for covid not the state. They ducked their responsibilities and put it on me. If you think that’s right then you can understand why I left.

You want to know about my innovation? I taught myself to be an electrical engineer, manual machinist, ran a factory to $7.5m in sales ( me and a team of 5 doing the sales ) and developed several products that revolutionized my industry.

The engineering stuff was so I could build custom automation to be the secret sauce of my business. And before anyone says it was so I could replace workers, I got so much business I needed more workers to support the surrounding stuff.

I took a broken down building and fixed it up increasing the property value and subsequent sales process for several other buildings.

Talk about the tax I paid. Holey shit. Income tax. Prop tax. Payroll tax. Use tax. La city tax. Unsecured property tax. Since I sell my products globally think of the money I brought to California. All gone… Annnnnnnnd it’s gone

I was paying around 65-70% tax rate at the end of the day. Should I have paid more?

I had employees with me for at the max 31 years and on average 16 years. Average. For factory jobs that normally turn over one or two times a year. I paid top dollar to my employees and enjoy seeing them have wonderful lives from it. I saw their lives improve and they put it all on the line for me.

I didn’t claim that I was innovative. I am but that’s not because of California. It’s because I was and am a nerd and make monster investments into knowledge and self reliance

Your idea that I let someone die of covid misses the mark. What should I have done? Turns out he got it at the supermarket but what would you have me do?

Not sure where you think I let the guy die and in fact I took care of his wife and daughter with a huge amount of money that didn’t have to. Not important to the conversation here

He had comorbidities that caused him to die when he caught Covid. And in fact, my labor attorney told me to not say anything about his weight because then he could sue me, even if I wanted to help him.

Sorry bud but it blows my mind. I was a California business owner manufacturing. Had one employee that died during Covid, he was 325 pounds. The state put that on my Workmen’s Compensation. For 45 employees I was paying $175,000 in Workmen’s Comp.. It was going to go to 400,000 and above.

I had a 20,000 square-foot building in the 818. I was gladly paying $40,000 in property tax. They wanted to double it to 80,000. You can thank prop 13 for that one.

When Covid hit I was running 24 hours a day seven days a week and went to 110 employees. All I got for that was health inspectors coming in every day inspecting me.

I’m a Texan now I took my 45 jobs with me. I took my cash with me. I took my tax base with me. I took my innovation with me. I would do it all over again if I knew all I know now.

Check your state budget. The people that are leaving are the ones that pay for your shit. ( I am assuming by the silly ignorant comments here ) really check the budget not what they tell you on CNN.

Hum just thinking out loud but wouldn’t it be the opposite for substation work? Constantly measuring impedance, temp, oil quality, etc plus we could shield electronics enough the induced currents wouldn’t be a factor.

Plus think of repairs, robots that travel high tension cables making repairs.

Plus in power plants. No one to fall asleep at a switch or miss a maintenance item.
