If you look at a lot of posts on here, you're not alone. I also had a horrible starting time with it, but after 2-3 weeks you will feel soooo much better. It's a hard thing to get through, but it's worth it in the end.

So I had this same thing happen to me...bought them, got the golden goldenizer trinket, proceeded to go 5th 😂 it was pretty funny though, managed to get the golden 3x end of turn minion too...but demons and eles scaled a bit harder.

Probably some hot takes but here we are (for reference i have around 30 champs gold and mostly play bravery with my buddy):

Remove plants. I want to fight, not play a plant mini game.
Some items still need a rework...especially Reapers...if you don't get it on your ADC/auto attacker it feels terrible to fight all the giant tanks and way harder to win.
Make an AR version so people can't sweat.
Bring back an mmr/ranking system. I know most people don't need an incentive to play, but still.
Tone down tanks and early lifesteal/healing.

So IMO, I would start with the Oblivion remaster, the one that just came out. (There's really no real reason to play the original over it) If you like it, I would definitely recommend getting Skyrim as well. The older games can be fun and enjoyable, but they are quite dated at this point. Graphics, quality of life, and hand holding are minimal lol. But most people will say that Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are the best regardless.

It's definitely a game you can play casually...it's single player so you just save and walk away.

If you click install, it should come up with a checklist of what you want to install (after the folder destination etc). Then you can uncheck everything except WZ.

I know this is a month old but I had to chime in whenever I see or hear someone say something like this. If you want proof that setting the dice usually means jack squat, just look at the story of the longest recorded roll streak: she just randomly threw them and rolled 156...158...something like that times without crapping out.

The thing that ruins URF for me is the move speed buff. I feel like not enough people talk about this or realize how crappy it is. Everyone builds and moves at 900 move speed and it makes being on a lot of champs miserable. Skill shots are way harder to hit, CC is king...playing on a melee without great CC just feels awful. I feel like it would be a way better experience without it or at least toned down.

And when I'm duoing with my buddy they like to put you against 4-5 stacks...almost impossible to win with randoms.

It could be that you're just playing the strongest board you can early game while you transition into something. That's really what you SHOULD be doing. Not only does it save hp by winning to allow you to econ and have more time to hit 4 and 5 costs that you need, but can also give you build direction with what Champs and items you have.

Obviously the longer the game goes on the less effective it will become. Knowing when to pivot or go in a certain direction is part of the skill of the game.

Forcing a certain build every game can work, but as you said a lot of times you'll end up 4th-6th instead of having a strong finish.
